Just 5 minutes from the idyllic hinterland town of Bangalow & 15 minutes from the pristine beaches of Byron Bay, The Hut Guesthouse is a luxurious 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom home with a private cinema, billiard room, swimming pool, wood-fired pizza oven, outdoor BBQ area & on-site restaurant offering unique in-house dining experiences. With sweeping wraparound views, the Guesthouse is situated on 2 acres of cascading lawns and lush rainforest leading down to your own private section of Possum Creek. The space The lawns of the Estate offer incredible views of the valley & creek, and there are various large open spaces for guests to set up picnics or outdoor dining. Our swimming pool is 7m x 3m in size with a large pool deck overlooking Possum Creek & a beautiful hanging daybed for ultimate relaxation. Our outdoor bungalow and bar area also has a wood fired pizza oven, traditional wood smoker & gas BBQ available for guest usage. If you're lucky - you might even meet our resident koala and her new baby who spend their time lazing about the Eucalyptus trees at the front of the property. ON-SITE RESTAURANT*: The estate is also home to one of Byron Bay's most celebrated restaurants. Within the walls of the respectfully refurbished Possum Creek School House (1911-1963), The Hut celebrates the simplicity of traditional Mediterranean flavours through fresh & flavourful dishes created to be shared. Open for lunches only, Thursday-Sunday. Bookings essential. *Please note that the restaurant will be closed from Monday 9th of June to Friday 8th of August, 2025. IN-HOUSE DINING: Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying time with your loved ones, our in-house dining experience is every food-lover's dream. Enjoy The Hut’s exquisite seasonal menu without leaving the comfort & luxury of your private guesthouse. Guest access Guests will have access to the Guesthouse and adjoining carpark during their stay. Guests will not have access to the restaurant or restaurant carpark unless a lunch or event booking has been made. Other things to note We have 8 on site parking spaces available for guest usage, including a 2 car garage. ADDITIONAL SERVICES AVAILABLE: - In-house massage & beauty treatments - Catering and in-house private dining from 'The Hut' - Surf lessons (by ex-professional surfer & property owner Matt Wilkinson) - Private yoga - Babysitting services PLEASE NOTE: Possum Creek has limited mobile phone reception on some networks. Telstra works perfectly well, but other service providers such as Optus and Virgin only receive reception in the carpark area. Our NBN wi-fi network is provided through Telstra and works well. PLEASE NOTE: We have ducted air-conditioning in the upstairs of the house (Master bedroom, ensuite, 3 guest bedrooms, shared bathroom, living room, kitchen & dining). There is also a separate air-conditioning unit in the cinema room downstairs. While the downstairs queen bedroom and bunk room do not have air-conditioning, the concrete walls & ceiling fans downstairs keep this area far cooler than upstairs & the cool air from the upstairs air-conditioning also sinks down to the lower levels. PLEASE NOTE: The property also consists of a manager's cottage where our on-site property & restaurant manager resides.
