Built during the beginning of the previous century Ostria house combines the traditional architecture of Cyclades with the modern decorative style.Settled on the east part, surrounded by the aegean sea where you can enjoy the sun rising from the sea. It is settled in the quiet part of the island and is ideal for visitors who seek some holiday away from the tourist crowds. The space The red volcanic Pori beach (one of the most quiet in the island) is just one minute on foot just below the studio! Ostria apartment has two rooms, one living room and one bedroom with a double bed (built in the traditional way), plus a bathroom with shower. Although there is no an organized kitchen provided, we wanted our guests to be able to prepare a simple meal so we made space for a two cooking rings, a fridge and all the necessary cookware! There is also a filter coffee machine , a boiler and we also provide some extra things for your cooking, like spices, salt, pepper, olive oil, filter coffee , sugar, tea .... so you do not have to worry about buying all these things! In the living room apart from the coach where an extra person can sleep there is place for an extra single bed for a fourth person if asked. It looks to the aegean sea and is surrounded by big balconies all around that the visitor can use to relax,read or even - if an early bird- watch the beautiful sun, rise from the sea!From the other side there is a nice and quite backyard looking at the mountain. Ostria apartment is part of En Pori which also has Selana apartment ,Levantes studio, and Cave studio. Each studio or apartment has its own balcony space and separate entrance so the interaction with other guests is very discreet. It is around 7 km from Fira town and 8 km from famous for its sunset Oia village. As it is located in the quiet part (which is the nice thing), there are no super markets around. The closest restaurants , mini markets and grocery shops are in the traditional Vourvoulos village (7 min drive by car) or famous Oia village ( 10minute drive) . We strongly recommend to our guests to rent a car/scooter in order to move around! If you need any help with that you can ask us! Guest access We strongly recommend that our guests rent a car or scooter/atv in order to move around the island and also in order to discover the more hidden peaceful and beautiful places! As we are located in a quiet place between Fira and Oia there is no public transportation available there that you could use. If you come by your already rented car or scooter, we will send you a google map link a few days prior to your arrival with the exact location of the house! If you arrive late at night we strongly advice you, that we book a taxi for you (our taxi driver knows the location of the house). It will be more convenient for you rather than driving at night after a long trip. We do not recommend that you take a taxi by your own when you arrive, because many drivers do not know the location so well ( though they will tell you they know it ) and sometimes they charge way tooo much.
