Description
Newly refurbished, but sustaining all the charm of a traditional Skye croft house, Cnoc Uaine offers a warm welcome from the moment you arrive. With a double and a twin room, the cottage comfortably sleeps 4. The space Standing prominently in the picturesque village of Peinchorran, Cnoc Uaine, takes its name from the green hill on which it sits. Facing east, it offers the opportunity to witness many spectacular sunrises over the island of Raasay and the distant peaks of Wester Ross. To the south and across Loch Sligachan, Glamaig - one of the Red Cuillin mountains – towers over the loch and the scenic village of Sconser. To the south west Sgurr nan Gillean, one of the better known peaks of the infamous Black Cuillin, marks a starting point of the formidable ridge. Countless breath taking vistas, irrespective of the weather, create the most stunning panorama from Cnoc Uaine. This newly renovated croft house has belonged to our family since it was originally built more than 100 years ago and we have endeavoured to maintain its warm character. The downstairs comprises of a cosy sitting room, spacious kitchen/dining room and toilet. The two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one twin, epitomise the atmosphere of the house which is further emphasised by the light and airy toilet/shower room.
