The space The elevated deck is just a great space to hang out for most of the year is the best place to chill out apart from the beaches nearby The northern aspect catches the breeze in summer and sunshine early in winter and has a power socket, so you can connect to the fast wifi and work for hours remotely with nature all around Birds in the garden are a feature as so many call Starfish home, including a friendly Tawny Frogmouth, Satin Bower birds, parrots, honey eaters, wattle birds, whip birds just to name a few. A sustainable home, there is some edible produce growing you are welcome to share including warrigul greens, herbs,Tumeric and Ginger along with seasonal fruit (Bananas pawpaws mulberries passionfruit) Herbs include basil, tarragon, oregano & mints Chillies and Lemongrass also A modern kitchen with exhaust fan and DW (please use short 30min cycle unless you have a an extra dirty load) Most of the basic essentials in the kitchen like sauces oil cling wrap and foil etc are supplied PLEASE WIPE UP BENCH SPILLS immediately as the bench tops are solid timber with an eco food safe finish that stain You can roll out your dough directly on it though! I like to offer early check ins/late checkouts when possible so feel free to ask Currently there are 3 beds that sleep 6 people Please try to be sustainable by recycling, use less water, power, compost during your stay to reduce your footprint the planet will love you for it cheers & safe travels xx Guest access The driveway is shared with Love Shack guests so please be flexible when its raining for loading up and unloading on arrival and departure for everyone happiness I can let you know when no other guests are staying so you can park in the driveway during your stay Otherwise just park out froont after unloading please While Starfish has its own small fenced lawn at front and a deck, the other areas are shared zones so be respectful of others. Especially after hours if myself or guests are staying in the Love Shack, you may have to share the back garden, outdoor beach shower and 1 of the 2 clothes lines You can also book the LoveShack at the same time if you have more than 5 or 6 in your group Starfish is about escaping the smart phones & screens to share good times in a relaxing beautiful coastal environment Theres some toys and games for family fun but please pack them up when finished so pieces dont get lost There is an old 2nd loo and some back yard toys below the deck you are welcome to use Badminton, balls, snorkels etc Please note saftey instructions on arrival and have a great holiday Other things to note SAFTEY FIRST SO PLEASE READ THE description & HOUSE MANUAL and auto messages you receive after booking On arrival note and inform all of your group the location of the Fire safety equipment, first aid kit, all exits and emergency numbers on fridge BBQ SAFETY - ROLL OUT AWAY from the timber walls before igniting.Turn gas off at bottle each time after cooking PARKING- Best to park on street directly out front, or over the road after unloading as sometimes Shack guests need to use to load or unload especially in wet weather GARBAGE Please freeze any food scraps that may cause flies or smell in a bag or paper (lower kitchen drawer) until bin day or use compost bins in garden for vegetable scraps only Bins go out Thursdays afternoon for collection early Fridays Registration Details PID-STRA-7048
