Garden Studio

The Old Post Office Guesthouse is an historic old building circa 1903. On entering, look down and you will be standing on kauri planks milled in the Kaipara. You will also notice the hollow in both the front doorways worn down by countless feet. However, the Garden Studio is at the rear of the building and accessed down a side path with several steps. The Garden room opens into the garden, with a bathroom opposite. The superking room next door may be rented at an extra charge. The space A quaintly charming space this was a working post office until 1980. The Garden studio may be rented without the next door superking room option. Or included at an extra charge. It will not be used if you only wish to use the Garden room. A small sitting/reading room is up several stairs with a kitchenette and table at one end. There are lots of books to read while you relax with a pot of tea! Look out your door into the garden. In spring enjoy the laden wisteria and heritage roses. Although General Gallieni flowers almost all year! The soap provided is an all natural, locally created product and every effort is made to use only natural products and no throw away plastics. Guest access The Garden studio includes the small sitting room and kitchenette. The garden right outside your french doors is for your use and the chickens. However, the Garden Studio is completely self contained so that if wished guests can remain private. Access is down a pretty side garden path.
