Le Shack - Cosy, peaceful cottage with views

Cosy, two bedroom cottage with a veranda overlooking the picturesque Valley of the Waters, nestled at the edge of the Blue Mountains National Park. Perfect to feed the birds and watch the sunset then, in winter, read a book or snuggle up by the fire. The Nature Trail runs along the bottom of the property and The Conservation Hut, that famous hub of the bushwalks of Wentworth Falls, is a beautiful 11 minute stroll away. We're also on the 685 bus route or a 20 minute walk from the station. The space The beautiful front garden is usually full of flowers but it is the sweeping view of the Australian bush from the verandah that make this place very special, complete with King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas, native doves and Kookaburras. We have just put new carpets in the bedrooms and 100 year old tallowood (from the Robertson Chocolate factory in Cleveland St) in the main room. We provide quality linen and towels, cooking essentials, a collection of books and games, a TV (not a smart one) and DVD player as well as some firewood. (Please note that while we supply a little wood, you will need to buy a bag of wood from the Falls grocery shop opposite Wentworth Falls station or Mitre 10 or Bunnings plus some extra fire starters to enjoy the fire fully.) There are electric blankets on the beds, and if you don't want to use the fire there are two oil space heaters. Guest access This place is perfect for couples. Other things to note If you are planning on using the fire, we would recommend that you buy a bag of wood from Mitre 10, Bunnings or even a petrol station. if you are staying during the week you can also buy excellent fire brickettes from Against The Grain opposite Bunnings Katoomba. We find Fire Starters the most effective, so grab some of those too! (Please take great care not to force the fireplace door shut as this breaks the glass which is very expensive to replace.)
