The Old Windmill

The Old Windmill house is just 1h from Chania airport and 1h from Herakleion airport. Located in Adelianos Kampos area, the house is just 15' by car from Rethymno town, 5' from Platanias, and within a short driving (7') or walking (15') distance from the beach. The beautifully-arranged 1-acre property includes a 45 m2 rural house, garden and parking space. The highlight of the property is the 100-year-old windmill, transferred from Lasithi Plateau, once used to water the crops. The space The house is perfect for friend or family groups, as it is located in a sparsely populated area, and icludes a garden and courtyard with lovely countryside views! The beach is just 7' away by car or 15' by foot. Organised beach bars with sunbeds, umbrellas and other facilities can be found all along the north sea front of Rethymno, and can meet every taste! The historic monastery of Arcadi, as well as other spots of cultural interest, are located within a short distance from the Old Windmill house. Guest access The house and surrounding facilities (garden, patio, BBQ) are fully accessible for visitors. Other things to note Please note!!!: An additional Climate Crisis Resilience Fee of 8euros/night (April - October) or 2euros/night (November - March) is demanded by the Greek Government and should be paid in cash by guests upon arrival. Please ask for further information if necessary. The area has no named streets! Please locate the house by its name on your GPS or ask us for more information. In Greece, there is a fire ban in effect from May 1st to October 31st. This ban prohibits lighting fires in the countryside, including barbecues and grills, especially in areas with dry grass or forests. While gas barbecues are permitted in certain areas, such as private yards, gardens, or designated camping areas, outdoor fires are generally prohibited during this period.
