Note to cyclist that we have secure storage for two bikes. Guest access Self contained private apartment Other things to note Talbot Barn is a converted hay loft retaining many original feature beams, situated next to the owners barn.Talbot barn is accessed through an independent oak front door and staircase that leads the Kitchen, which is fully equipped with pyrolytic oven,induction hob, combination microwave,dishwasher,washer/dryer.pod coffee machine,toaster, and kettle. The water is softened and we also have a drinking water faucet The Living/Dining room has a settee,chesterfield soft leather armchair ,coffee table and wall hung smart tv and a dining table and chairs overlooking the Juliet balcony. There is a small side table for computer which could be used as space for a bit of work from home. The Bedroom has a Kingsize bed and dressing area with wardrobe, chest of drawers,and dressing table. The Bathroom has a corian walkin shower, toilet,basin and heated towel rail. All velux windows and blinds automated to open by a switch on the wall. Gas central heating, electricity, cotton bed linen, towels and WiFi included. On street Parking. We can offer cyclist secure storage of two bicycles in our garage by the entrance to Talbot Barn accessed with a code. 7kw EV charger is available at £25 for an overnight charge, payable as required, please bring your car charging cable. The apartment is only a few minutes walk from Marshfield village with The Catherine Wheel Pub which serves good food and drink, but be sure to book at weekends and Sunday lunch.The Nelson Pub,at the market place, is more of a sports ,drinking and Pizza place The central stores a unique place retaining all the features of an old haberdashery shop but sells lovely pastries and cakes,freshly sliced ham,papers and so much more. It is worth a visit.The post office, Sweetapples tea shop, and gift shop and now a pottery shop sit alongside the old high street. Marshfield is a designated conservation area on the edge of the Cotswolds and contains a wide range of architectural styles, Georgian town houses, 17th century Alms houses, medieval barns, 12th century church and was a major coaching stop for London and had a thriving wool and malting industry. There are buses to Bath, Chippenham and Bristol from the main street but they are very limited so for ease we would highly recommend a car. If you like a leisurely walk or a hike there is great Cotswold countryside on your doorstep and we have included some maps in our information folder.
