The space PLEASE READ CAREFULLY If you are sound and happy group of people we will welcome you with open arms, and hopefully do so over and over again. If for any reason something is not to your satisfaction during your stay, we ask that you let us know STRAIGHT AWAY, rather than waiting for your review to highlight an issue, everything is fixable but if we don’t know about it, we can’t help you. EARLY CHECK IN: You can by all means ask, and on some rare occasions it is absolutely possible but please don’t be offended if you are told no, as I have done so in the past and received 4 star review afterwards for cleanliness as the guest said the cleaning looked rushed. Every house has its quirks our house is no different, so here are some of them as some them may be deal breakers for you. - The shower in the main bathroom can have weaker pressure from time to time especially in peak summer season - we have bird feeders in the back courtyard which attracts small wild birds of all varieties, if you don’t like birds let us know in advance and we can remove it. General info • Waste disposal is the responsibility of the guests only and any waste left after your stay will incur a €150 fine or retention of deposit. • Ceol Na Mara is a 2 story house with 2 double bedrooms and one twin bedroom with the master bedroom having en-suite while the other two bedrooms share the main bathroom. There is a large kitchen dining area which leads in to the living room, which makes Ceol Na Mara ideal for friends to catch up and enjoy time together. There is an small walled courtyard at the rear of the house which is perfect to enjoy your morning coffee while listening to the sea. We received feedback in the past that a guest thought the house was built on the beach based on photos, sadly we are not, but we are less 50metres to the oceans edge. You cannot see the sea from the house, as it is angled towards the surroundings mountains, but you can hear the sea, hence the name Ceol Na Mara which translates to the music of the sea. The photos of beaches in our gallery are from the surrounding areas of Derrynane/Ballinskelligs/ Waterville some are within walking distance, but all are within 10/20min drive of the house. If you need exact location of the house before booking we are more than happy to provide this to you, just simply ask. Guest access Guests will have access to all common areas and the bedrooms which they selected on check in. Other things to note In the unlikely event of you encountering an issue or something is not to your satisfaction, we kindly ask that you bring it to our attention and give us an opportunity to rectify it first, instead of waiting for your review after checking out to highlight something. Never forget, you are our guests and we are here to help you have the best stay possible. • There is an €80 cleaning fee regardless of length of stay. • We are a shoe free home, for the initial check in process you can leave your shoes on, but we ask you to leave your shoes at the front door for the duration of the time you are in the house. Disposable hotel style Slippers will be provided in the bedrooms. • Electricity and Oil meters are in place and readings will be taken on arrival and departure. Payment must be paid before checking out, please have cash and change to hand for this. We provide up to €25 of combined fuel usage anything after that will be charged at the below rates. >Electricity is charged at .30c per unit used >Oil/kerosene is charged at €1 per unit used • Strictly no pets as I am allergic to pet hair. • The sofa is not a sleeping option and should not be considered as such when booking. • Waste disposal is the responsibility of the guests and any waste left behind will incur a waste disposal fee of €150. Please use the waste bags purchased in local shops (at the checkout) only. • Guest amenities such as canvas shopping bags, beach towels and picnic basket/cooler bag should also be left at the property, so that other guests can enjoy the convenience of using them as much as you do. • If for any reason you don’t have time to clean up properly before check out, don’t worry, just let us know and we will arrange for the cleaners to arrive early. What we do insist on is not hiding dirty dishes in cupboards as this slows down the change over process for incoming guests. • We provide all bed linen and towels for you stay as well as toilet tissue and kitchen towel . • If for any reason you use the generous allocation of toilet tissue provided, we ask that you let us know so we can restock and that you do not use the kitchen towels in the toilets. • We insist that the main guest checks in and checks out with us, so as to avoid any confusion regarding to the house rules and settling of fuel bills. We will never hand over keys to anyone other than the main guest.
