The villas and apartments of Borgo Valle Rita welcome guests who wish to immerse themselves in a corner of paradise surrounded by greenery. All the apartments are different, although they share typical Mediterranean colors, original floors, period furniture and a full range of amenities: air conditioning, TV, fridge, telephone, hairdryer and, for long stays, full equipment with dishes and everything needed for the little ones. The space There is a hand-drawn map by Michele Tranquillini, illustrator of Corriere della Sera, which traces in detail the geography of Borgo Valle Rita, an expanse of one hundred and three hectares of land between Puglia and Basilicata, 90 meters above sea level and 15 kilometers from the pristine coasts overlooking the Ionian Sea. The valley is named after the Rita stream. And it is here, at the crossroads between the Sassi di Matera, the ravines of Laterza, Ginosa, Massafra, the sea and the trulli of the Itria Valley, that the fief of Girifalco was built in the 14th century. The central nucleus is composed of the masseria that takes its name from the district and the guest rooms obtained from the ancient rural houses arranged in parallel to two rows of palm trees: the walkway that leads to the Borgo. We are not fanatics of the zero kilometer at all costs: all the good that exists has a place at our table, but of course we favor the fruits of the garden that we cultivate with our own hands with fully organic methods.
