Boxcar-Cozy 2 Bdrm Cabin on Water-no cleaning fee

Enjoy this charming 2 bedroom cabin on Cable Lake in Spooner, Wisconsin. In the early 1930’s, an old boxcar was skidded across the frozen Cable Lake and became a cozy little cabin. Today, tucked beneath a stand of mature Norway pines, it is a great place to enjoy the solitude and beauty of northern Wisconsin. The large front deck sits right on the waters edge and is a perfect place to relax, watch the loons, bald eagles & sunsets or plan your fishing strategy. Lovely place for up to 4 people. The space Cable Lake has a beautiful sandy bottom along the shore for swimming (about 10 feet out and then it can get a little mucky depending on the time of year) with private dock. Public boat landing on lake. Good fishing, fire-pit, charcoal grill, swing set, parking for 2 vehicles. The two bedrooms are separated by a curtain and the bathroom is off of the back bedroom. Guest access The code to the door key pad will be given to you after booking Note: Access to bathroom is through the master bedroom. Other things to note GOOD TO KNOW: Fire extinguisher is under the kitchen sink. Main water turn off is in the lean-to off of the back deck. Don’t be surprised if our cat greets you (Kojak is very gentle and friendly, but please don’t let him in the boxcar or feed him). Extra supplies and vacuum cleaner are in the master bedroom. Cleaning supplies are under the sinks. Extra blankets and pillows are in the dining room hutch & cedar chest.
