Casa Vecchia awaits! :) The Old House is waiting for you! :) The space La Ca' Vegia, as its name says, is a Casa Vecchia. But very old... the first block dates back to about 1640. We tried to renovate it without distorting it... without removing its magic. We hope we've been able to... come and find out! At the first floor you'll find a tipycal Island kitchen, with stone floor and a large fireplace - beside these old particulars, you'll find some modern tools, as a fridge and an induction cookery. Next to the kitchen is the lounge, with its mosaic floor and original furniture. We've just added a couple of couches, because there seemed to be more comfortable than the original wooden benches.. A door leads to the terrace .. the granite table is still there, but around it you will find beach umbrellas and sun loungers Climbing the stairs to the second floor, a room with two single beds and, hidden by the old dresser, a little door (mind your heads!) will lead you to another room with a single bed. The two rooms share a fully renovated little bathroom with shower. A few meters away, walking on the balcony that surrounds the house, you will find the Lake Room, with a nice double bed and a spectacular view of the lake and Isola Madre. Next to the kitchen, living room, with its mosaic floor. As far as possible we kept the original furniture... but it seemed more comfortable than the sofas, instead of the wooden benches, so we added it. From the living room you enter the terrace.. the granite table is still there, but around you will find umbrellas, chairs and sunbeds. Going up the stairs, on the second floor you will find a room with two single beds and, hidden next to the old dresser, the door that leads to another room with a single bed. The two bedrooms have a bathroom with shower in common. A few meters away. Walking on the balcony that surrounds the entire house, you will find the lake room, with a nice double bed and a spectacular view of the lake and Mother Island. The bedroom is completed by an anti-bathroom and a large bathroom with shower. Ah! Do you want to go diving into the lake? The daily price (min. staying, 2 nights) does not include 50 euros for bath and bed linen (for period) and 50 euros for final cleaning (for period) The Island is connected to the mainland by boats of the Navigazione Lago Maggiore. --->The House has two floors and follows the typical architecture of the island with its small inconvenience i.e.,the rooms and bathrooms are on the second floor, reachable using the outside stairs (see photos). It is therefore not a suitable home for the elderly or people with limited mobility, or for very young children. *********************************** To the nightly price (min. 2 nights) must be added 50 euros (for the period)for the supply of bed and bathroom linens and 50 euros (for the period) for the final cleaning. The Fishermen Island is connected to the mainland by boats of Lake Maggiore navigation and/or by numerous motorboats. ---> The House is on two floors and follows the typical island architecture with its small inconveniences. For example, the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second floor, reachable by leaving the kitchen and climbing the external staircase. It is therefore not suitable for elderly people or people with walking problems, or for very young children. Guest access The whole house is at your disposal! The Island is connected to the mainland by boats of the Navigazione Lago Maggiore. We recommend you get the landing (Stresa or Baveno) within 6 p.m. as the boat service to and from the island is stopped in the evening and during the night If you arrive after this time, please contact us a few days early to study together the best way to get to the island. --->The House has two floors and follows the typical architecture of the island with its small inconvenience... i.e.,the rooms and bathrooms are on the second floor, reachable by climbing the outside stairs (see photos). It is therefore not a suitable home for the elderly or with limited mobility, or for very young children. There is no centrale heating; upon request, we can supply with electric stoves. We ask only a little contribution for the electrical consumption. The grocery store on the island closes at 18. If you arrive later remember to bring dinner with you! *********************************** To the nightly price (min. 3 nights) €50 must be added for the supply of bed and bathroom linens and €50 for final cleaning. The Fishermen Island is connected to the mainland by boats of Lake Maggiore navigation and/or by numerous motorboats. Check in must be made no later than 6 pm, as there is no boat service to and from the Fishermen's Island during the evening and night. There is no central heating; there is still the possibility to provide you with convectors, upon payment of a contribution of expenses for electricity consumption.
