The Cabin at Green Hills near Wedmore/CheddarGorge

Welcome! A peaceful, unique, cosy cabin set in my lovely garden in a no through lane, in the Somerset countryside. Enjoy views of the garden, fields, birds and farm animals. Wedmore village with 3 pubs, deli, Indian, cafe and shops is only 1.3 miles away. Cheddar Gorge/Mendip Hills are a short drive, Wells, Glastonbury, Bristol too. Somerset is a great county to explore with its hills/levels, historic sites, nature reserves, coastline and local cider makers. SORRY NO PETS. Week/month discount. The space The Cabin is an "upcycled" office cabin which has been converted into comfortable self catering accommodation. It maybe small but it’s perfect for a get away into the countryside. It is self- contained, insulated and heated with kitchen area - microwave/oven/grill, George Foreman grill, toaster, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment and a slow cooker to make quick easy meals. Well equipped with crockery etc. Fire blanket and first aid kit. Fan. There is no separate bedroom but the sofa folds out to be a double sofa bed with padded mattress topper provided if you want to use it. King sized duvet, 4 pillows and all linens and towels provided. A Folding bistro table and two chairs set for dining, Smart TV/DVD - Netflix/Amazon Prime if use own password to access), fast Wi-Fi Shower room with powerful shower, WC, basin, shaver point and heated towel rail. Towels supplied (no beach towels supplied) Use of my washing machine for longer stays can be arranged. Garden bench and outside dining table, chairs, cushions, blankets, parasol and a clothes airer provided in the shed attached which has a lock so can be used for bicycles etc when the dining set is out in drier weather. Bring your own bbq and enjoy the garden (use the slab provided to keep bbq off the grass please). Dry storage box outside for muddy boots and recycling items. Check out is 10am normally but it depends on if the cabin is booked out again and what my plans are in getting the changeover completed, so ask me the night before you leave if you want to have a later checkout. Please leave the kitchen clean and tidy from your self-catering and a clean toilet, much appreciated. I have not added cleaning fees to the booking but I may claim via Airbnb for any excessive cleaning required. NO SMOKING/VAPING inside the cabin allowed, use the garden. NO DRUG TAKING. NO PETS ALLOWED NO OUTDOOR SHOES TO WORN IN THE CABIN - living in the countryside with mud and muck it becomes difficult to keep the rug etc clean for future guests. Much appreciated! Guest access The whole cabin is available to you set within part of our large wrap around gardens. There is a bench and dining set with parasol for you to relax on in an area separate to the part the gardens we use. Shed for bicycles etc when the dining set is out. Bring a portable BBQ! We are lucky to have a fairly good dark sky for star gazing on a clear night. Other things to note Cocklake is a hamlet in the countryside- noises you may hear are farm animals, birds and tractors, a peaceful place to stay away from the bustle of town life or main roads. No street lighting. Access is via gravel paths with two steps into The Cabin. Parking is a few metres from The Cabin by our front gate or further parking in our back yard.
