"Stone Cottage" was built in 1862 from local bluestone and was lovingly restored in 2014. We are adjacent to Woowookarung Regional Park, popular for bush walking and mountain bike riding. Stone Cottage offers old world charm with modern amenities. You will not be sharing with any others. The main bedroom has a queen size bed & the main sitting area has a single bed. . A fully equipped kitchen allows for longer stays. (Ballarat CBD 10 mins; Shops-5 mins) Strictly no pets allowed The space Our cottage is unique in the Ballarat area, as it is constructed from free-stone rock and mud. It was built in 1862 and lay derelict for 60 years. We renovated it in 2014 and won two Heritage awards for our work. The cottage overlooks Canadian Creek, which runs through the Woowookarung Regional Park. Our property is adjacent to native bush with grass trees, native flowers and gold mining remains. Bush tracks allow for walks or bike rides. For those that want a more relaxed stay, you can just sit on the back deck and enjoy the vista of gum trees along the creek. You may be lucky enough to see visiting kangaroos, wallabies or the occasional koala. Guest access Full access to the self contained cottage, which is separate to our main house. The house will not be occupied by anyone else. There is a private driveway and undercover carport next to the cottage. Other things to note There is no laundry in the cottage, but everything else is provided for an enjoyable stay - breakfast provisions, (cereal, milk, juice, bread and condiments, tea, coffee and sugar); bedding, towels, heating. Free unlimited Wifi, TV, books and games. No pets, thank you
