Escape to a charming space featuring eclectic decor, contemporary furnishings and original design touches. Strict House Rules. No Parties. No Drugs. Our 1920's Spanish Craftsman is a charming & cozy space with many of it's original features through out, such as hardwood floors & lots of windows that provide a lovely stream of light in almost all of the rooms. You'll find a cute kitchen with an antique stove, french press for coffee or tea (as well as a standard coffee maker), antique china, and plenty of cookware for your use. The house is equipped with cable tv, wifi, central air and heat & all of the beds have comfortable, fresh linens... There is an assorted collection of books for book lovers, plus a backyard that includes a fireplace & streaming lights - All providing you with a great ambiance to wind down & relax during your stay. You'll have complete private access to the entire home & backyard. We are respectful of our guests privacy. If needed, we are (most often) close by, but always a phone call or text away. The home is set in an urban historic district and a family neighborhood. It was built in 1924 and is situated on a small cul-de-sac. Turnbull Canyon Hiking Trails offer incredible views of LA and surrounding cities and is within three blocks of the home. Accessible from the 605 freeway & centrally located to DTLA, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm, Disneyland, great beaches & wilderness preserves. Other freeways also close by include the 5, the 60 & the 105 which is direct into LAX. Attractions: Knotts Berry Farm: 20 min Disneyland Park: 30 min Downtown LA: 30 min Natural History Museum of LA: 30 min Griffith Observatory: 40 min LA Zoo: 40 min Beaches: Seal: 25 min Huntington: 35 min Newport: 40 min Venice: 40 min Redondo Beach: 40 min We have accommodations for our dog in the backyard, but our dog does not come in the home, nor is she present during our guests' stay . Permit parking is required for the area. You will be provided with the necessary permits to place in your vehicle during your stay. There is a drive way that provides one van or SUV parking; otherwise street parking is readily available. The street is narrow, taking your time to maneuver in & out (especially) when children are playing/present is very important. Please be considerate of neighbors, and the manner in which you park if you are using street parking.
