The apartment is equipped with every comfort, finely furnished with stylish details, enriched with paintings, lamps and books. Ponte di Comando Apartment – Sleeps 6 The apartment consists of: LIVING AREA A large eat-in kitchen, fully equipped and air-conditioned. A spacious and elegantly furnished living room (with three eco-leather sofas, bar cabinet, reading corner, Smart TV), air-conditioned and with large panoramic windows overlooking the sea and Monte Argentario. SLEEPING AREA Three air-conditioned double bedrooms: a master suite with private bathroom featuring shower and bathtub; a second master bedroom; a third, smaller bedroom with a double bed. The sleeping area is completed by a second bathroom with shower. All mattresses and pillows are new, state-of-the-art and of excellent quality. Large outdoor dining area, furnished with table and chairs (14 comfortable seats), sideboard with dinnerware and masonry barbecue complete with sink and worktop. Tap water is not drinkable, but it is safe for cooking, brushing teeth, and other daily activities. The pool, weather permitting, will be open from May to October. We apologize if it is not available from May 1st, but it needs yearly maintenance to remain beautiful and functional. To repaint it, we need at least three consecutive days of good weather without rain, then we must wait for the paint to dry and finally fill it. Road description: The villa is 1500 meters from the tourist port and can be reached by car, scooter, or on foot. The last 300 meters to reach Villa le Rocce are a significant part of the route. It is a private road in reinforced concrete, in excellent condition, but with a steep uphill and some curves. It is easily passable by car or scooter. After the first time, and with Francesco’s directions, it becomes simple and familiar. My family has driven it with all kinds of vehicles since 1982, but we recommend not using very low cars. Ferry booking: We recommend booking the ferry well in advance, especially in July, August, weekends, and near holidays. We do not recommend coming to Giglio with very low cars. Vehicles on the island: To bring a car or motorbike (with Italian license plate) to Giglio Island during August, you must stay at least 5 days and fill out a self-certification to show upon arrival and keep inside the vehicle throughout your stay. Food shopping: Food shopping is your responsibility. We do not serve breakfast or provide catering. We are not a Bed & Breakfast. Cleaning: Apartment cleaning will be carried out at the end of the stay. For one-week stays, cleaning will be done twice in total. The midweek day can be arranged directly with Francesco. For extra cleaning, please arrange with Francesco, bearing in mind that on the Island, cleaning is paid €20 per hour. Low season information: Off-season (from November to March), many tourist activities are closed. If you arrive with the last ferry of the evening, which departs from Porto Santo Stefano, please note that upon your arrival at Giglio at 8:00 p.m., grocery stores are closed.
