Description
Tucked away in a beautiful private garden within idyllic 3-acre grounds, our romantic hideaway combines vintage charm with all mod cons - from underfloor heating to Nespresso-style coffee machine & fibre broadband! * Kingsize bed * Compact yet well equipped kitchen * Large private bathroom adjacent * BBQ & firepit (free wood) * Sauna, natural swimming pond (rainfall dependent), kayaks, games room, hammock * Hill walks on the doorstep, stunning beaches & cliff walks nearby * 1 dog welcome. The space "All the fun of a vintage caravan with the warmth and luxury of a 5-star hotel." Jane A haven of peace and tranquillity, our cute and cosy vintage caravan is perfect for romantic getaways. It is tucked away in its own garden in 3-acre grounds in the foothills of the Preseli Hills, and just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful beaches and coast path at Newport, Pembrokeshire. With underfloor heating in the caravan and the large adjacent private bathroom, it’s very warm and cosy whatever the weather. There's a comfortable kingsize bed (with 100% cotton bed linen), a snuggly sofa offering a close-up view of the myriad of birds on the feeders outside the window, and a compact hand-crafted oak kitchen with a two-ringed hob, microwave/grill, Nespresso coffee machine (with pods), cafetiere and slow cooker. There’s also broadband internet – not vintage we know! Outside the caravan is a lovely private garden, with a table and chairs, a covered seating area, a firepit and a bbq. Guests are also welcome to use all our facilities free of charge. These are shared with guests in our cottage, which is in another area of our grounds and typically accommodates two people (max four). * Dip in our stream-fed swimming pond (it's natural so that water level can vary) * Relax in our sauna…and wake up again with our cold bucket shower! * Play table tennis/pool/table football (accompanied by a drink from the honesty bar and vintage records) in the barn * Explore our idyllic 3-acre grounds, with plenty of different seating areas * Borrow a tandem or single kayak (stored at a beautiful local bay) to explore the stunning Pembrokeshire coast Guests can also use the freezer, washing machine and tumble drier in the barn, and borrow our portable bbq to take to the beach. Extra cooking equipment (including breadmaker and liquidiser), beach chairs, picnic blankets etc are also available in the barn. As soon as a booking is confirmed, we provide guests with comprehensive information about the local area including activities, places to eat and drink, and details of our favourite walks. We also provide a marked-up, all-weather Ordnance Survey map for guests to use during their stay. GETTING TO BANC-YR-EITHIN... Banc-yr-Eithin is in a beautiful private location at the end of a quiet 1-mile single track road (with passing places) so we recommend that guests come by car. Please note that the last quarter mile of the track is unpaved and, while we do our best to maintain it, it suffers from potholes and puddles, especially after heavy rain. Although it's a bit bumpy in places, it's fine for an ordinary car if you drive slowly (our SmartFortwo manages it fine!) but it is not ideal for cars with very low suspension. WHAT DO GUESTS SAY? “We would sum up our stay in one word: FABULOUS!!” Lucy "Words cannot describe how beautiful and charming this place was." Natalie "Could not recommend this place enough! Hugh and Susanna were hospitality personified and we wanted for nothing. The caravan is both cosy and luxurious with all the mod cons while still retaining a rustic feel. Our dog loved watching "bird TV" and we loved the peace of mind of not hearing any fireworks. 3 nights were not enough and we will be back for longer!" Jacob "Honestly, this place is a dream. You'll want nothing more other than to book again!" Ben "An absolute pleasure to spend our second weekend here. This truly is a gem of a place. The hosts are great, the place is beautiful and you want for nothing. A little piece of paradise." David “What an amazing gem in the middle of a rural paradise - attentive hosts, beautiful wildlife, and the caravan itself was incredibly cosy and cute. We didn’t want to leave...We can't wait to come back." Natasha "I have to say this is the best Airbnb I have stayed in. The caravan is beautiful, immersed in an abundant garden in a beautiful location. It was absolutely magic, and deeply relaxing, the whole experience.
