A nationwide search for “Private Rooms" in a “Shared Home”, filtering for all the amenities I offer, will result in very few if any properties that compare. Additionally, the on-site wellness, and outdoor recreational amenities, that allow you to self pamper and explore the area like a local, positions this Airbnb above any other private rooms you’ll find anywhere on Airbnb. PREMIUM AMENITIES Here are a few of the one-of-a-kind amenities available for my guests. These fun extras enhance the positive guest experience both at home, and out and about the Ogden area. These extra amenities allow my guests to get out and explore and enjoy the community and many of the unlimited outdoor recreational opportunities just like a local. YEAR AROUND AMENITIES Sauna/Gym/Massage room * A LULULEMON - HOME GYM Guests can now enjoy a full gym workout with a personal trainer, using the Lulu lemon Mirror Gym and a variety of available weights. From beginner up to advanced, you will find classes designed for any skill level. For or an additional fee you can book your own personal trainer to run you through a workout. The Spa Room also includes a 4 person dry sauna, massage table, adjustable free weights and kettle ball, ski trainer, ab machine, tension bands, steps, and mats. There are also massage oils, aroma therapy, music, and a water cooler with fresh local mountain spring water. Beyond the Spa Room you will have access to the pool, cold plunge, hot tub, massage recliners, neck, hand, foot, knee and face massagers. * IN HOME PERSONAL MASSAGE It’s hard to find a better way to end the day than putting on a comfy robe, relaxing in the sauna or soaking in the hot tub, followed by a private in-home massage. I work with two licensed, sport massage therapists whose services can be made available upon request. Heather and/or Camille will meet you in the Spa Room to get an idea of your needs before either an individual or couples deep tissue massage. Their rates for in-home massages are highly competitive and available upon request. Outdoor massages are now also available. You can schedule your massage to be done outdoors, at times when it’s not too hot or cool, on the private and intimate hot tub patio. If you’re interested in scheduling your massage outdoors, please LMK in advance. * TWO SHIATSU FULL BODY MASSAGE RECLINERS / FOOT MASSAGER / HAND MASSAGERS / EYE MASSAGER / KNEE MASSAGER Not all guests will have a chance to book time with one of my massage therapists, however, I want all my guests to be able to relax and enjoy a soothing massage experience. To help achieve this goal, I’ve installed two full body, zero gravity, heated, shiatsu, massage recliners. You can also focus on your feet, hands, Knees and face, with several other additional massage devices. NEW THIS YEAR * COLD PLUNGE TUB The always cold and ready tub is on the hot tub patio. Experience the health benefits of cold plunge therapy. Relax in the hot tub, then step into the invigorating cold plunge, before going back to the hot tub, repeat. * OCULUS VIRTUAL REALITY HEADSET Now, as you relax in one of the heated message recliners, you can put on the virtual reality headset, choose one of three meditation apps, and experience a deeper level of immersive relaxation on both a physical and mental level - not to be missed. Headsets for video games are also available for those interested in virtual reality experiences. * A FLEET OF FAT TIRE E-BIKES Available to all guests is the use of seven fat tire electric bikes. These all-season e-bikes are designed to be ridden on pavement, dirt, or snow, making it possible for guests to get out, year around and explore the area like a local. The bikes have locks, lights, and tracking, and always draw attention when you’re traveling around town. * ELECTRIC STAND-UP SCOOTERS These snappy scooters have a top speed of 20 mph, and a range of 28 miles. There’s plenty of juice for an afternoon exploring the Ogden River parkway, catching a Saturday farmers market or just tooling around historic downtown and grabbing a bite to eat. Each scooter has front and rear lights, LED running lights, shocks, and larger wheels. They fold up for easy carrying and have a helmet. * ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING Guests driving an electric vehicle (with their own cables if not a Tesla) can charge at my home for no additional cost. Tesla drivers may use my charging cable. * THE TESLA EXPERIENCE If you've never experienced an electric vehicle, especially a Tesla, you’re in for a real treat. I’ll show you around the car then take you out for a ride in a Tesla Model 3 to experience first hand its performance and unequaled full self-driving tech. SUMMER AMENITIES * STAND UP PADDLE BOARDS AND KAYAK I love to hook my guests up with all the gear they’ll need to get out on the water and really experience this fun local’s activity. 6 - Inflatable SUP boards, for a variety of weights and skill levels 1 - Two-person kayak 1 - Two person, couples or family SUP board. I’ll outfit guests with an inflatable paddle board, paddle, life vest, electric pumps, picnic cooler, and a dry bag for phones and keys. Easily get out on one of the two nearby lakes, the closest being only 10 mins. from the Airbnb. The other lake is limited to paddle sports only. This lake is a local’s secret and has no beaches. Everyone hangs out on their boards or kayaks. This second mountain lake offers guests both tranquil views as they explore pine covered canyons, and excitement hanging out in the bay watching people jump from 30-40' high cliffs, listening to music, and enjoying a snack on the water. WINTER AMENITIES * SKI RESORTS Skiers and boarders can easily get to Snowbasin from my the Airbnb. Snow Basin was the home of the premier downhill events at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Snowbasin is also SKI Magazine’s 2024, 2025 #1 rated ski resort in North America. Both resorts are just a short 25 min trip, from my driveway to the resort parking lots with no Cottonwood Canyon kind of traffic. (I’ve been on the ski patrol at Powder Mountain, SKI Magazines 2023 #1 rated ski resort in North America, and the largest ski resort in the country, for 40 years. I'm happy to offer an expert’s pointers, on where to find some of the best powder stashes on the mountain.) * SNOWSHOES If you prefer a slower paced winter activity, I can set you up with snowshoes, for a more tranquil winter experience. Depending on conditions, you can get out on the nearby trails, forest service lands, or the Ogden Valley Nordic center. * WINTER SNOW TUBING Ogden is a 4-season town, and we usually have snow on the ground for tubbing in the area parks from Christmas through mid-February. I live in a quiet, safe, neighborhood near the mouth of Ogden Canyon. The river, mt. biking and hiking trail heads, ski resorts, and a fun friendly walkable downtown area are just out the door. I'm also the closest Airbnb to the final two UTA SKI BUS stops going to both Snow Basin, and Powder Mountain. I really do live in a special little spot. Whether you’re passing through for the night, extending your stay after learning all that there is to do here, or have planned ahead to make this your recreation destination, you won’t be disappointed with your decision to stay in Ogden, or in this special Airbnb. You'll also find a grocery store, gas station, and sports rental store, just a block away. * SHARED SPACES Guests have full access to all shared areas in the home, both upstairs and down. There are two kitchens, two comfortable living rooms, a large sunroom with a big screen TV, spa room, and hot tub. There’s also a deck off the sunroom that sits alongside a 24’ above ground swimming pool, large enough to swim laps. (Memorial Day thru Labor Day). Out front you'll find the newest addition to my outdoor living spaces, a third patio with stunning views of the mountains, there’s music, a stylish tower propane heater, and corn hole game. As part of my home security system, I’ve installed cameras around the exterior of the house. If you would like the hot tub camera disabled for privacy, just ask. Each bedroom has a programable entry lock so you can secure your room when you’re not home. There’s also a hotel style latch on the inside door for extra security when you’re in the room. In the winter there are three wood burning fireplaces where you can cuddle up and watch TV or just enjoy a hot drink and read a book. I also provide ski and snowboard storage, and boot and glove dryers. The home has high speed WIFI, along with Cable TV, Netflix, & Amazon TV. Breakfast is provided daily including fresh fruit, breads, bagels, pastries, oatmeal, cold and hot cereal, breakfast bars, pop tarts, waffle maker, yogurt, coffee, cappuccino, espresso, tea, juices & milk. You’ll also have access and use either of the kitchens if you would like to cook something you brought. As a local, I know all the best locations to explore, ski, hike, paddle board, swim and play, just as Other things to note Although this is a quiet and safe neighborhood, I have installed additional security measures for yours, and my security and peace of mind. The home has secure keyless access provided through a Schlege Wi-Fi door lock. No keys to lose or return! You can lock and unlock the door using the unique virtual key issued to you. This will give you easy access to the house for the duration of your reservation. See more info in the welcome book in the living room. I've installed a video camera/two-way speaker, Ring doorbell at the front door. There are also cameras on the hot tub patio and pool areas. If you'd like the hot tub camera turned off for privacy, please LMK. If I'm not home when you check in, I will monitor the cameras closely when I know the approximate time you're arriving, to ensure you are able to get in with no problems. I can also open the door remotely if needed.
