You could come and stay for a long weekend or a week and not have to get back in your car. Dufton is within 30-45 minutes drive to the start of the lakes, so ideal to use as a base. The Stag Inn is a minute away serving lovely food and cask ales. Other things to note Great for mountain biking, walking, and use as a base. Appleby train station 3 miles away so you can hop on the Settle-Carlisle line.
