Located near Korea University and Dongdaemun, the neighborhood offers both local energy and everyday convenience. Built in 1961, this hanok has been lovingly renovated to retain its traditional elegance — its clean lines, natural flow, and sense of space — while introducing modern comfort. The host personally curates and manages the home, furnishing it with custom-made pieces and carefully chosen details to create a warm, memorable stay for every guest. Enjoy a peaceful and intimate hanok experience, and take a moment to rest quietly in the heart of Seoul. Guest access Space: two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, toilet and yard • Bedroom The bedrooms are located on both sides of the living room. Eastern Room - 1 Queen Mattress and Sofa Bed West Room - 2 Single Beds • Living room and kitchen The kitchen is equipped with utensils and basic seasonings so you can cook simple dishes. Other things to note ⚠️ Important House Notes • Bedding Setup For reservations of 2 guests or fewer, bedding is prepared in one bedroom only. By default, we set up the double (queen) bedroom, as most guests prefer it. If you would like one bed per person, please request the twin bedroom in advance. • Extra Towels & Bedding / Cleaning Extra towels and additional bedding are available for an extra fee. For stays of 2 nights or more, mid-stay cleaning is not provided. Additional cleaning can be arranged upon request for a fee. • Reservations for 5 Guests or More For bookings of 5 guests or more, one extra bedding set is provided (thin mattress for the sofa bed, blanket, and one pillow set). • Occupancy Rules Exceeding the reserved number of guests or allowing unregistered visitors is strictly prohibited. Any eviction due to rule violations is non-refundable. • Contact For booking or stay-related questions, you may also contact us via Insta: @stay_knocknock • Commercial Use Commercial use (photoshoots, filming, etc.) is allowed only with prior approval. • Parties & Events Small gatherings such as bridal showers may require an additional cleaning deposit. All events must be discussed and approved by the host in advance. • Damage & Stains Please inform the host immediately if any damage or stains occur. Unreported damage or excessive stains may result in compensation charges. To protect the bedding, eating or drinking on the beds is not allowed. • Trash & Recycling Please separate and dispose of all trash in the designated recycling area. • No Smoking This is a strictly non-smoking property, including the bathroom and courtyard. As the hanok is made of wood, fire alarms and carbon monoxide detectors are installed throughout the house. Smoking indoors or using candles, incense, or open flames is strictly prohibited. Smoking is allowed outside the main gate only. If indoor smoking is detected, two nights’ accommodation fee plus professional cleaning costs will be charged. • Cooking & BBQ Cooking foods with strong odors and barbecuing are not allowed, for the comfort of future guests. • Insects As this is a detached house with a courtyard, insects from outside may occasionally enter. This is a natural condition and not a valid reason for refunds or cancellations. • CCTV A CCTV camera is installed outside the main entrance for guest safety and security. • Winter Conditions Due to the nature of a traditional hanok, the house may feel drafty in winter. Heated mattress pads are provided, but guests sensitive to cold should take this into consideration. • Bathroom Drainage As this is an older hanok, the bathroom drainage may be slower than modern buildings.
