Description

***We are located in England, not Wales. NOTE the staircase is very steep so young children will need to be supervised when upstairs. A cosy, rustic retreat in the heart of stunning Borders countryside. We are able to provide a contact free check-in and check-out. I live in a property adjacent, but at some distances to the property. Enjoy amazing stars at night and fresh eggs from our own hens for breakfast. Wake up to bird song and beautiful views. The space The Granary is an "off-grid" experience. There is no central heating and the wifi can be patchy. That being said it has a cracking wood-burner (an oil heater too) and you wake up to a view of the Peachery, veg garden, and our pedigree flock of Ouessant Sheep -the smallest sheep in the world! There isn't a television, but it's stocked full of books. There are a Bluetooth speaker and radio, though. The Granary is bijoux and charming. It has two bedrooms, one very large with super king bed and other quite petite with a double bed. You have a first-floor porch off the main bedroom perfect for surveying the surrounding countryside. The kitchen is well stocked with a kettle, toaster, and pod coffee machine. There's a fridge and a gas cooker. If you want any particular utensils during your stay, please don't hesitate to ask and I'm happy to put it in if I have it. The water is spring water that comes through on an eccentric gravity-based system that works surprisingly well. For drinking water, please use the kitchen tap as it has a UV filter. The granary was the grain barn to our eccentric 17th Century farmhouse over the way. Other things to note Please note that when you stay you will completely immersed in the countryside! To this end, the Granary is accessed down a country track. We’ve never had issues with people getting down the track, but if your vehicle is particularly low or you are very precious of it, it’s good to keep in mind.
