The space THE LOCATION: Located overlooking Blue Bay Beach, this laid-back stretch of beach features warm, golden sands & moderate waves for surfers. It is close to the centre of Mandurah, or to the Port Bouvard Marina. You can enjoy a relaxing breakfast at the local restaurant, leisurely lunch, or take in the nightlife at one of the many taverns or eateries in the area. Better still, stay home to have an intimate meal and enjoy a glass of wine while watching dolphins from the balcony. Blue Bay Beach across the road is great for a swim, snorkel or surf. Doddi's beach is a nice, safe, sheltered beach just a short stroll away with BBQ's and there is a great cafe called Tod's just down the road to have breakfast or lunch. Bringing a boat: the Mary Street ramp is around the corner with easy access to the Ocean and the Estuary. THE HOUSE This is a large, spacious , air-conditioned two-storey home with a wrap-around balcony, situated directly opposite the endlessly blue Indian Ocean and a cycle path. TOP STOREY: This storey offers two bedrooms, living area, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and a wrap-around balcony where you can watch the sunset over the rolling waves. There is a spacious living area and a games/reading area with plenty of books, DVD's and board games to choose from. KITCHEN AND LIVING AREA: The kitchen is stocked full of everything you need to cook a a tantalising gourmet meal for two. Enjoy a freshly brewed coffee with the coffee machine, tea or milo while you take a breath and relax. There is a large smart TV, free Wifi, board games and books galore. BOTTOM STOREY: There is a toilet downstairs along with a laundry with a large washing machine and a dryer which are available for your use. BEDROOMS: Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed, walk-in robe, ocean views and access to the balcony. Bedroom 2 has a king-size bed with a built-in robe DINING: The dining table is placed strategically to provide the opportunity to have the sweeping ocean scenery while you eat. CHILDREN: There is a childproof gate above the stairs to protect your little ones. We also have a porta-cot and high chair for your use. The guests may access the master upstairs bedroom, kitchen, toilet and bathroom. They may also access the laundry. Security Hold Like most professionally managed holiday homes, a $750 pre-authorisation hold is placed before arrival and automatically released after your stay once house rules are confirmed and no damage is noted. We’re happy to consider early check-in and late check-out requests, though these options are subject to availability and not guaranteed. Our cleaners charge a fee $50 per hour for this service. For guaranteed early access, we recommend booking the night prior to arrival. This offers peace of mind and a smooth, stress-free start to your stay. Cancellations Our cancellation policy is set through Airbnb and applies to all bookings. We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect against unexpected changes to your plans. Wi-fi is offered as a complimentary extra. As there is no charge, issues will be dealt with ASAP but cannot be guaranteed. Guest access Guests will have complete access apart from the garage - ALL GROUP STAYS ARE MUST BE PRE-APPROVED. Please inquire prior to booking if you are a group. - As a rule we only take families. - We are in a very respectful neighbourhood. - Absolutely No parties or events of any kind and strictly quiet hours from 10pm- 7am - For last minute booking within 3 days, guests will be asked to send a selfie holding their credit card as an additional security measure. This is to ensure legitimacy and prevent fraudulent transaction. - All confirmed reservations made starting on the 9th of January, 2023 will be subject to an extra public holiday surcharge which will be equal to 50% of the cleaning price if you'll check out on a public holiday. This is to be charged separately a week before your arrival, or immediately if less than a week. - Only the bedding set out for your booked number of guests is to be used. Usage of any extra bedding without prior approval will incur charges of $65 per night per item used You may be required to allow access for service personnel should repairs or maintenance be necessary. The guest agrees to allow the agent and/or appointed tradesperson to enter onto the property at any time to effect or investigate repairs or complaints. All repairs will be affected as soon as practicable. On public holidays and after hours it may at times prove difficult to get tradespeople straight away. We will always do everything we can to minimise inconvenience caused but cannot issue partial refunds or give discounts. Maintenance issues will not be cause for discounts or refunds. Please report any maintenance issues, if any, as soon as possible after your arrival, so that we can have the opportunity to rectify for you in a timely and efficient manner Only the number of persons advised on the website and confirmed booking, are permitted to occupy the premises. In the event of renovation/building work being carried out near the premises, such work is beyond our control and we cannot accept responsibility for any disturbance, noise or inconvenience you may suffer as a result. No discount will be negotiated for any of the above. This is a house not a hotel. While we strive to keep the house protected from the elements, we are susceptible to the salt air, wind and storms. This impacts paint and metal on all seaside homes - it will not affect the quality of your stay. This is an old lady of the sea but well- loved and appreciated by many families who love the beach and a place to connect with their loved ones. The house has surveillance cameras overlooking the garage and front door to keep guests and their cars safe. There is also a noise monitoring device in the living area. Nature/Environment Our home is set in a beautiful natural waterfront environment. From time to time you may see local wildlife — and occasionally insects, particularly if doors or windows are left open. The property is professionally treated, but being close to nature is part of its charm. For stays of one month or longer, a complimentary mid-stay clean will be provided as a condition of the rental.
