Description

Swanage is an attractive seaside resort with a long sandy beach and a variety of activities including boat trips, fishing, sea rowing, bike hire, a diving centre and rides on the steam train linking Swanage with the historic village of Corfe Castle. This is also a wonderful walking area with beautiful views. The coastal path is only 5 minutes walk away with easy access to Durleston & walks along the coast westerly to Worth Matravers and Kimmeridge or easterly to Old Harry Rocks and Studland. The space Lovely light and airy apartment with sea views. Only 5 minutes walk from the sandy beach and town centre with a good range of places to eat. (Visitors do need to be fairly fit as it is uphill on the return and quite steep in parts) It is self contained and on the first floor beneath the tower. There is a spacious open plan living area with sofa, 'smart tv', dining area and double bed; separate fitted kitchen equipped with gas cooker, microwave, refrigerator, crockery, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans; bathroom with basin, w.c. bath & hand shower. (This is not an overhead shower as there is not sufficient pressure). However you can enjoy a long and relaxing bath. You are welcome to enjoy shared use of a sunny garden with garden furniture. Parking for small/medium car is available in the adjoining drive. Key Safe can be used for access. Swanage has a wide range of tea shops, restaurants and public houses. There is a regular bus service from Wareham train station and Bournemouth station There are a variety of small Purbeck villages within a short drive with charming stone cottages and traditional pubs. Swanage is particularly festive in December with Christmas lights, Christmas market on 6th December plus several special season events on the steam train with carols.
