A cosy retreat crafted from a shipping container, tucked away in a secluded riverside orchard. Unwind by the fire, soak in the hot tub, and watch nature drift by. A peaceful escape to share with your favourite person — and dogs are very welcome too. 🐾 The space Lovingly designed with a rustic feel, this tiny home is built mostly from natural and reclaimed materials, keeping sustainability at its heart. Thoughtful, unique details are everywhere — including a truly one-of-a-kind shower. Though compact, it’s fully equipped for a comfortable stay. You’ll be warm year-round with central heating and a log-burning stove. Inside you’ll find a full shower room, kitchenette, and a very comfortable king-size bed that converts into a sofa. There’s also Wi-Fi, plus a projector and screen with Amazon Firestick or easy connection to your own device. Bi-fold doors and original container doors open the space for a seamless indoor-outdoor feel. On colder days, stay cosy by the fire while enjoying the views through the glass. Outside, a spacious deck offers loungers, dining furniture, and a fire pit that heats the hot tub (please allow 3–5 hours to warm). Explore the surrounding woodland and riverbank, or cook outdoors using the log-burning stove with a top oven — perfect for pizzas or hearty stews. Wildlife is abundant: spot kingfishers and otters by the river, with deer, foxes, and hares nearby. At night, listen for owls beneath a star-filled sky. We provide all towels and bedding for humans; please bring your own for dogs. Firewood for the indoor stove is included. Logs for the fire pit, hot tub, or BBQ can be brought with you or supplied for an extra fee. Please note: the toilet is a waterless composting toilet. Other things to note We really look forward to hosting you, we’ve absolutely loved building the Apple Crate and we hope you really enjoy it. The Apple Crate took us a year to build using reclaimed, recycled and secondhand items to be as eco friendly as possible. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to improve your stay. Please consider the weather when choosing your footwear, the short walk from to the Apple Crate is grass and can get a bit muddy if we’ve had a lot of rain.
