Welcome to “Underwood Loft" Our spacious three bedroom second floor flat is nestled on a quiet one way street only a five minute walk to downtown New Glasgow. Sleeps 6-7 people comfortably. Close to all amenities- coffee shops, restaurants, theatre, cinema, marina, Farmers Market, grocery and department stores. At the entrance a few steps will take you to a private entry. Here is where you will check in out of the weather. We offer a self check in process. Our second floor flat has sixteen stairs to get a start on your daily steps! Once you arrive at the landing you will find approximately 950 square feet of living space. Our spacious rooms boost lots of sunlight to brighten your day. Newly refinished hardwood floors throughout adds to the charm of this century home. The living room area is spacious. Free Wi-Fi and a “Smart” TV are available for your use with your own accounts (Netflix and YouTube). There is a closet here to hang coats and place extra foot ware if desired. The kitchen is a separate space that seats six comfortably and more if required. There is ample space for cooking or baking with fully equipped cupboards. A microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, loads of glasses and place settings. All rooms have new mattresses, duvets and pillows. If time permits, explore what the beautiful Northumberland shore has to offer. Nearby communities such as Antigonish- home to St.FX University. Pictou- home to the Hector Heritage Quay Tatamagouche- a quaint town bustling with activity on Saturdays with its own brewery and Farmers market. Travel times to these destinations within 20-60 minutes. Take in the many music festivals throughout the year, visit our beautiful Northumberland Straight beaches ( warmest waters North of the Carolinas) We suggest nearby Melmerby Beach, Caribou Provincial Park or Waterside Beach. For active life enthusiasts, there are many walking/hiking & running trails in nearby communities. Such as; Samson Trail- New Glasgow Albion Trail- Stellarton Acadia Park Trail- Westville Trenton Park Jitney Trail- Pictou For more challenging trails there are numerous county trails like Fitzpatrick Mountain Trail, an 8km trail located on Scotsburn, suitable for hiking, skilled Mtn biking and trail running. There is green space on the property where you can set up your own lawn chairs if desired. Other things to note Please do not ware outside foot ware inside. Please do not roll luggage on newly refinished hardwood floors. We do have neighbors around us that value the quiet space they have in town.
