Description
Casita de los Arroyos is part of a classic Pueblo style adobe compound 23 minutes south of Santa Fe on the Turquoise Trail. It is located on 13 acres of contemplative high desert. A spacious living area includes a sleeping alcove with a comfortable queen sized bed and a single sized pullout sleeping couch. The kitchen has a gas stove, refrigerator, and microwave with a gas grill on the patio. We are an ecofriendly facility, recycling and composting. There is a one time $25.00 dog fee, no cats. The space There is a spacious, light filled studio next to the casita that is available for play/meditation/yoga. There is a ping pong table, bumper pool, yoga mats, and six tables with chairs for games, puzzles or meetings. Contact us if you want to have a meeting, otherwise it is for casual use for the guests of the casita. Guest access The casita has its own gated patio with views of the arroyos and distant mountains but feel free to explore all of the 13.5 acres. The main house has patios on three sides that take advantage of the different views. Explore the property but it is wild land-be aware of your surroundings. There are snakes, including rattlesnakes, that usually will try to get away from people. The rocky outcroppings are beautiful but too unstable to climb. Several arroyos meet to form wetlands at the bottom. It is a designated national wetland area with large cottonwoods and green vegetation when all else is desert brown. Other things to note There is a guest pass to four of the great museums in Santa Fe; Museum of International Folk Art New Mexico Museum of Art New Mexico History Museum (Palace of the Governors) Museum of Indian Arts and Culture. In our experience if anyone in the group has a museum pass they will often let your whole group in for free. There is a car pass for Los Cerrillos State Park three miles south on Rt. 14.
