Upstairs is a loft area with large triangular windows, comfy floor cushions, a Papasan chair, soft lighting, and a small floor tea table. There is a fire pit in the yard for an evening marshmallow roast in the yard. On the lower deck, there are two chairs to enjoy the view from there. You can walk down to the New River, one of the oldest rivers in the world and the only river in North America that flows South to North. It is a .8 mile walk down the hill. You can also access the New River by car at the Big Hill Community Park just a short drive from the cabin. The New River is perfect for tubing, rafting, fishing, and more. Some outfitters host rafting and tubing trips and guided fishing trips on the New River (as well as the other nearby rivers). This is a special treat in the spring, summer, and fall! The cabin is wheelchair accessible, and there is a small portable ramp in the master bedroom bathroom closet to access the upper deck from the living room.
