Okauia House, Matamata - New Guest Wing

Just an 18 minute drive to the Hobbiton Movie Set, Okauia House is located in the rural outskirts of Matamata, yet only 5 minutes to the town centre. Guests can enjoy complete privacy and quietness as the guest wing is self contained, has it's own access and is independent to the rest of the house. Built in 2020, nothing has been spared in terms of comfort and luxury, whilst at the same time staying in keeping with the classic style and beauty of the original home. The space This is a new guest wing, added to one of the first homes in the Okauia area. It is North facing with large windows. Panoramic views of thoroughbred farmland and the Kaimai Mountain range surround. There are decks on both the East and West sides of the guest suite, where guests can sit and absorb the beauty and tranquility of the outdoors. Inside the room has been fitted with quality fixtures - a comfortable superking size bed and a luxurious double shower and a convenient modern kitchenette area. There is Sky TV, a DVD player with a set of Lord of the Rings and a smart TV with unlimited broadband for streaming. In winter it is beautifully sunny and warm. Perfect for a romantic treat or a get-away! Guest access Okauia House is set on just under an acre block of lawns and garden. Guests are welcome to wander around. The guest room has basic limited cooking facilities. There is a guest Weber BBQ just outside the room. There are guest laundry facilities in the room adjacent to the guest room. Guest parking is close to the room with a well lit walkway. Other things to note A shared outdoor spa pool is available for guests to soak in after a long day, or to sit in at night with a beverage and enjoy the stars! There are also seasonal fruit trees on the property with fruit that is available for guest consumption during their stay.
