Come escape from the daily grind at our idyllic lakeside glamping cabin! A charming oasis in the heart of the Green Mountains, this cabin offers comfort and convenience in an off-the-grid setting. Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway, writer's retreat, meditation escape, or just a chance to unwind , take a swim or go for a paddle. Our comfortable cabin sits on a terraced hillside overlooking beautiful Greenwood Lake and the Woodbury Mountains. It has a ceiling fan and heater to keep you comfy along with a microwave, toaster, coffeemaker. However, there is no WiFi and cell service is sketchy which makes it a great spot for digital detox. There is a TV/DVD player, and radio. The spotless outhouse sports a state of the art incinerating toilet, a heater, a wash up sink (no running water) with a drain, and a reading light. On the manicured grounds you'll find the upper patio (Crow's Nest) with treetop views and a firepit. Next to the cabin is a picnic patio area with tables, chairs, and a park grill. Walk down the shaded path to our dock and kayak launch to take a swim or just relax, enjoy the view and look for loons. Bring your own kayak, or use one of ours(signed waiver required). Sorry, no motor craft permitted. While it does have many comforts and conveniences, be aware that this is still a glamping venue and there is no running water. We do supply water for drinking, washing, and even provide a solar shower. In addition to your dining patio, you will have access to two small terraced yard spaces with view and fire pit. There are also some pleasant short walking paths. Should you have questions about your accommodations, neighborhood, or local sights and events, your hosts are just a short walk away and will provide you with a way to contact them. Our oasis is located in a private vacation community at peaceful Greenwood Lake. Located 4 miles south with the trendy village of Hardwick. Hardwick boasts many restaurants and ample shopping and just a short drive from local attractions such as Highland Center for The Arts, Jasper Hill Cheese Cellars, Hill Farm Brewery, Caspian Lake, Burtt's Apple Orchard, the charming capital city of Montpelier, Ben & Jerry's, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Stowe, Jay Peak, and the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. The town of Hardwick also intersects the Lamoille Rail Trail and is home to a network of public trails. This property is located within 25 miles of I-89 in Woodbury, just off a main paved route and is easily accessible by car. Dining and shopping options are just 4 miles away in nearby trendy little town of Hardwick. There are many lovely local hiking options nearby and beach access for swimming and paddling within a few miles of the property.
