It's located down a quiet country road that feels far away from town but is only 4 easy miles from Arcata, home of Cal Poly Humboldt, and 6 miles to Eureka. The clean and freshly decorated space has a queen-sized bed and a full-size futon-style couch. Both beds have been reported as VERY comfortable! This bright and cheery mother-in-law studio apartment is perfectly located between Arcata and Eureka. We are close to town (4 miles) but have a country feel. Guests have access to the fully enclosed acre-deep back yard, which includes a gas grill and hot tub. Please, only registered guests on allowed on the property. This home provides a perfect base for your Redwood Coast adventures. Whether you are here for the majestic trees, the pristine coastline, or the man-made attractions like Cal Poly Humboldt or Old Town Eureka, you will find the Redwood Retreat to be an ideal launching pad. Our country setting is not within range of public transportation, but we are within biking distance to town. There are some really nice walks directly from our home as well. The Redwood Retreat is a great place to relax and unwind, but it's not a party house. Please be courteous guests and wash your dishes before leaving. We love pets, we have some ourselves and feel strongly that they NOT be allowed on the couch or bed. We appreciate that you clean up any yard waste as well. PLEASE let us know in advance if you are bringing a pet. Guests have access to the fully enclosed acre-deep backyard, which includes a gas grill, and hot tub (9:00 am - 10:00 pm). Enjoy! Owners live on the property in the main house. We are here to support your stay but not to interfere with it. We do have two friendly boxers who enjoy their backyard but are willing to share! :-) We are 4 miles from Arcata and 5 miles from Eureka and love out pastoral country setting.
