Luxury Treehouse surrounded by nature
Description
Looking to enjoy the African bush but with all the luxuries and conveniences of home? After a day of safari, Lala Ehlathini Bush Lodge is the perfect retreat to sit on the deck in the treetops and watch the sunset as the bushbaby’s come out to play. The animals roam freely around the property, but you can safely admire them from a safe vantage point as the entire lodge is built on stilts. Who knows, you may even come eye-to-eye with some of the giraffe who roam through the property most days. The space Location is key at Lala Ehlathini, being situated on a quiet road at the bottom of the park you are assured peace & quiet. We have built and fitted our home with your peace and security in mind. We have discreet cameras monitoring the outside of the property, and we have an alarm system with private armed response ready to assist with security and wildlife concerns or removals if you are unsure. The Lodge is built on stilts so you are in the treetops! The underneath also provides an escape for the animals when the weather turns bad. It is something very special to have the African wildlife literally on your doorstep, and although none of the dangerous game like lion, elephant, rhino and hippo are able to access the park, we understand that this can still be a daunting experience for many on their first trip to the African bush which is why we are sure you will appreciate the house being raised 4m above the ground. Not only does this allow for commanding views over the surrounds, but it also affords you a safe vantage point to appreciate the wildlife who visit our waterhole without getting too close. And if you are especially fortunate, you might come eye-to-eye with one of the roaming giraffes as they make a quick stop to enjoy a snack from the beautiful bush-willow tree which adjoins the deck! During the day many different animals will roam across the property, the usual crowd include zebra, warthog, ostrich, blue wildebeest and many types of antelope such as kudu, steenbok, duiker and impala and perhaps even the elusive male nyala? You will also hear the fish eagles calling throughout the day as they fish the Crocodile river not far from the lodge. As evening sets in you can often hear the lions calling from the nearby Kruger Park as well as the yelping of the spotted hyena and black-backed jackal. Of course, no African bush experience will be complete without sitting around a bush-fire, so feel free to enjoy using the fire pit away from the house, however we also have a gas barbecue on the deck so you can cook out and enjoy the great outdoors without the risk of an unexpected encounter with one of the “locals”. The house has everything you require for a luxurious bush escape. The main area is Air-conditioned as well as the master bedroom. There is a large 43" 4k TV in the lounge. The lounge furniture is large and comfortable and there are deck-loungers for sitting outside and just enjoying the bush while animal spotting. We have a large water storage and battery back-up to keep the TV, WiFi and fans running during short outages. The bathroom has bath and shower facilities. Because of the frequent water shortages in the area we also have a large inline storage tank and pumping system. ZEBRA ROOM - Queen Bed, Air-con. The “Master Suit” ELEPHANT ROOM - Queen Bed SPRINGBUCK ROOM - Small room with single bed and extra mattress. More suited to Children. PLEASE NOTE: Although Marloth is a gated community and already very safe, for your peace of mind we have security cameras monitoring the outside of the property, and we have an alarm system with private armed security to assist with security and wildlife concerns. Guest access Entire property with complete privacy Other things to note Our lodge is a haven for wildlife, in the evenings you may see our local bushbaby families come begging for fruit, we have both the Greater and Lesser! We also have Spotted Genet and an elusive Civet. Families of Bushbuck, Steenbuck and warthog also share our property and visit the waterhole throughout the day, along with many other roaming antelope. Our property has 2.5kl of water storage in case of an outage, and 1,2kwh battery backup to keep the fans, TV and WiFi running. We also have armed security on hand if you have any emergency medical concerns or animal removal. Guests will have access to the Henk van Rooyen Resort at no extra charge. Located 5kms from the lodge, the resort offers a beautiful Pool with many picnic areas, a Tuck-shop, pool tables & tennis courts. It also has a restaurant situated high above the Crocodile River which forms the boundary between Marloth Park and the Kruger National Park. The views from the restaurant are spectacular and guarantee many exciting animal sightings. Regulars such as hippo, crocodile, buffalo, rhino, elephant, lions, and many antelope can often be seen throughout the day. Directly across from the Lodge there is a Spa which offers many treatments at excellent prices. It is a 2min walk from our property. The treatments range from facials or a short message, right up to full-day packages. A perfect way to help you relax even more in the natural surroundings. PLEASE NOTE: Toddlers and small children must be supervised when on the deck. The spacing in the banister is large and a small child could crawl through and fall. The deck and stairwell may also be slippery when wet so please be cautious.
