Located near the Mettowee River in the village of historic Granville New York, this home will be the perfect place for your stay. More spacious and affordable than any hotel, this simple home allows you to enjoy the comforts of "home away from home". Ideally situated an hr drive from Vermont mountains and skiing, and a short drive from Lake George, this home is well- suited for vacationing or family trips. When we travel as a family, we look for places that are affordable and clean. If your desire is to have an unforgettable "experience" for a stay, our home may not be suited for you. :-) Our home is simple, clean, and is absolutely affordable (our price is unbeatable). What you will have at our home is a clean, comfortable space for your group or family to have more room, the option to make your own meals, and save money while enjoying the area and making memories. This home has a nice living room area with several games/dvds/books available to you (in closet of the twin bedroom). Our kitchen is stocked with all the basics- pots and pans, dinnerware, coffee pot (a MUST) and coffee! Salt and pepper are provided as well as basic spices. Just bring your own food and you’re set! We provide kitchen towels, dish soap, and scrubbies for dish-washing. Breezeway/entry is nice in the summer/spring/fall. 1 Full bathroom is stocked with clean towels, washcloths and hand towels. Toilet paper, and handsoap are provided. 1 bedroom includes 2 twin beds. 1 Bedroom includes 1 Queen bed 1 Bedroom includes 1 full bed. We are a pet-friendly bunch, but do require a fee for pets. While we have WiFi, our home does NOT have cable tv- it does the smart tv with lots of free channels included. We provide a small collection of family-friendly dvd's for you to enjoy. Our basement has washer and dryer and detergent for you to use as well. Guests have access to the garage. Washing machine and dryer in the basement. Breezeway with chairs is nice to eat in on spring/summer/fall days. We certainly would like to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. While we like to give guests their privacy, we also are available to be of service to you. Granville is a small village. Pine Grove Diner is one of our favorite places for lunch and breakfast. Scarlotta’s carhop is great in the spring/summer/fall. A short drive takes you to our favorite spot, Jens Pit stop. The veterans memorial park is a beautiful, peaceful place only a short walk away. The Granville little league field also has a very nice, big playground for children. It is a very short walk down the road. Pricechopper is a mile away, very convenient for any shopping needs. Walgreens is also a mile away for pharmacy needs. The Delaware and Hudson rail trail is a short walk away and is lovely for walking, biking, or jogging in Spring, summer and fall (spans 25.8 miles through 3 counties) Check-in time is anytime AFTER 4PM (this is important so that we have the proper time for cleaning/sanitizing). Check-out is no later than 10AM (this is strictly enforced since we must have proper time designated for cleaning/sanitizing). If a guest checks out earlier than 10, we very much appreciate knowing so that we can begin the cleaning as early as possible. PET POLICY: We are open to well-trained furry family members joining you on your stay (some exclusions apply). WE MUST BE NOTIFIED OF A PET STAYING PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. A small pet Fee varies by the breed/size of pet. This fee (which is automatically entered by Airbnb) May change depending on the length of stay.Please contact us for exact pricing. If pets are coming, bring all supplies with you: litter box, food bowls, leashes etc. Our yard is not fenced in, so it is important to keep dogs on leashes at all times. Please clean up after your pet as you would in any public place. PLEASE place all pet waste IN trashbags, not thrown loose in the garbage receptacle. We would appreciate it if guests do not allow pets to sleep in the beds, but rather, bring their own pet beds.
