The Best views from Mt. Washington overlooking the Beautiful City of Pittsburgh just steps away! This little gem is inviting from the minute you step inside . The first floor- cozy sitting area/ dining, kitchen and full bath. Go to the second floor via the spiral stairs to second living room with a large flat screen TV / dining table / work area / reading corner / 1/2 bath and outside deck. The 3rd floor - relaxing bedroom with a peek of city views . Note: Low ceiling- is 6 ft. The space This little house was created using many items from what historically was known as the Mexican War section of the city. Beautiful stained glass and cut glass windows , hand carved doors and carved historical faces of BaBa ( grandma) and Zeda (grandpa) make this house very unique ! The house is a small home at 900 square feet. Perfect for a romantic couples retreat or close friends enjoying a football , baseball , soccer or hockey game at one of many stadiums in the city. Mt Washington is not only a tourist attraction but it is a center for wellness , hiking , biking, walking the many trails and the outdoor activities galore! When the city lights up at night the views are breathtaking and romantic . You’ll feel very safe walking along the overlook even at night . The fun begins a short walk away where every imaginable cuisine and libation is available along Shiloh street . The food is fabulous !! The nightlife is very eclectic . You will have a hard time deciding where to spend your evening there is so much to offer . Guest access Our TV - antenna for local channels/ fire stick to access your Netflix , CNN go, Hulu, Amazon prime TV and many other apps . You may want to bring your own for specific access. Internet - High speed Verizon Fios . You will get the access codes when checking in . Free ON STREET Parking Visitor Pass - 1 car for up to 3 consecutive days. Sunday is a free parking day . If you are staying for more than 3 days we will do our best to direct you to parking in the area or help you get a Variance. Be sure to talk to us about it . There is a hot tub in the property ,however, it is currently in need of repair so please do not try to use it . Thank you Other things to note This house is unique. It is not a tiny house but compact and has very special architectural details inside and out (stained glass windows , cut glass doors , iron railings all from historical homes from the Mexican war section of old Pittsburgh.) The third floor is structured as a loft area with short ceilings ( about 6’) , a very cozy feeling to relax . Just use caution if you are very tall . Neighborhood: The best part about our Neighborhood is the ability to walk everywhere ! Restaurants , Bars, Florists , Banks ,Pharmacy, Laundry mat, Liquor store , Post office , Churches, Gift shops, , Grocery store , Coffee shop, Ice cream parlor, and Dry Cleaner ! Station Square is just below Mt Washington. With easy access to public transportation. (the T Subway and bus line ) Easy walking distance to downtown Pittsburgh , The bike trail or Hiking Trails . BEST of all very easy access to Steeler , Pirates ,Pens games , and our newest Soccer team !
