The antique overhead light is the best antique fixture in the house. The two functional windows overlook the back garden/new deck and the driveway/border garden. Built-in radiator heat, and central air from the library split makes this the best climate controlled guest room in the house. The newly remodeled full bath has white linens, french themed accessories, and a large opening window. Most of the house is open for wandering and relaxing. Open 24/7 to guests is a large basement room with a huge wall-mounted flat screen tv, along with sofas, comfy chairs, and even an extra double bed that is not one of the four listed bedrooms. The host request that the master bedroom on the 2d floor and the solarium office on the 1st floor be respected as private areas. Of course, if other guests are in residence, their bedrooms are to be respected as well. If we are around, we can be helpful (upon request)! Ambler and Fort Washington are filled with natural beauty, quaint entertainment and amazing places to eat, drink, and shop. A bus stops at your driveway entrance. Two SEPTA stations within a walk. There is a flexible escape ladder in the hall closet of the third floor that can be used as a fire escape via a window. There is not an exterior exit from the second or third floor. There is a grand public staircase between the first two floors, as well as a small "back stairs" between the kitchen and the second floor.
