Shellcastle is a pet-friendly private home located just 100 steps from the ocean boardwalk. It offers stunning ocean views to the east and bayside sunset views to the west from our Captain's watch. We're walking distance to nearby shops and amenities and a quick drive to Canadian Hole where the bay offers wonderful calm shallow waters perfect for small children or for wind suffering, kiteboarding, and just about any water sport you can think of. The home offers a comfy ocean decor theme throughout, offering 4 spacious bedrooms - A King Bedroom with an ensuite bathroom; 2 x Queen Bedrooms; and a double room with 2 x Bunk Beds that sleep 4, for a total accommodation of up to 10 people. The location is conveniently situated near all facilities and attractions, yet private enough for guests to enjoy the pool, hot tub, and many decks undisturbed. A SHELLCASTLE vacationer is spoiled with the best of all our "Captain's Watch" Tower Room - Avon's second-to-none lookout providing postcard views of the ocean and spectacular sound sunsets. Enjoy! Guest access Guests have access to the entire home, except the two locked closets labelled "Owners Closet". Other things to note Linens: You can either bring your own, or we can suggest local rental companies who can arrange delivery should you be interested. Private Pool is open from approx. Easter weekend to mid-October, depending on the weather, it is not heated. We are a pet-friendly home! We go to great lengths to ensure the house is clean and free of any signs of pets, BUT if you are the type of person who doesn't like to stay with friends who have animals, our home is probably not the right fit for you. ++Maximum 2 Pets Permitted. We charge a one-off pet fee of $50 total, which you can select when booking your reservation. Kindly reach out to us if you have any questions ++ Entertainment: We provide "Roku”, which allows guests to log on to a variety of platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc, for your specific entertainment needs. There is also a "RedBox" located at the nearby Food-Lion for additional movie selections, as well as an assortment of DVDs already at the house. For your reading pleasure, the family room has a library of books and also a variety of board games. We started a children's library in 2019 and you're welcome to bring any books your children have outgrown to leave for other little ones to enjoy! Beach Fun: For your convenience, we have a, chairs, pool noodles, beach toys, and some boogie boards that we provide at the beginning of each season. We cannot guarantee quantity, or quality, as the season progresses but do our best. There are plenty of companies locally that will rent and deliver bikes, beach chairs, and just about any beach-related item you can think of.
