This idyllic, honey coloured 16th century Purbeck stone and thatched house simply oozes country charm, with all the modern conveniences you would expect to find inside a beautifully refurbished holiday home. The Burrow is in the historic village of Chideock with beautiful walks, nearby beaches, the popular Anchor pub at Seatown. In the village there is a general store, 2 pubs, post office and churches. Take a look at our other cottages Gingerbread Cottage and Chiddy Nook in Chideock The space The Burrow is a self catering cottage which is perfect for 4/5 people or equally for couples looking for a spacious retreat. The Burrow has a small, pretty garden to the side of the house, which is directly outside the front door. The garden has a central grass area and patio area with table, chairs and sun umbrella. The Burrow is conveniently placed near to the Clock Inn & The George, a convenient store and bus stop and is a 15 minute walk to the beach at Seatown which has The Anchor Inn, voted recently as one of England’s Best Pubs. Off road parking for 2 cars with easy access from North Road. The sitting room is cosy with large, comfy sofas in front of a feature fireplace and a dining area at one end. Wall mounted flat screen Smart TV. A pretty country style kitchen at the rear of the house is very well equipped and provides ample space for preparing meals. Electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge with freezer and plenty of cupboard space. All cooking utensils and crockery/cutlery provided. Sleeps up to 4/5 people in 2 bedrooms, and a Nook. Upstairs you pass through a tranquil reading nook to reach the bedrooms, Nook and bathroom. From the walk through double bedroom there is a hallway with heaps of wardrobe space. Off the hallway is a cosy single nook, this is a small room and the master bedroom, which features a magnificent wrought iron bed sitting beneath ancient beams with masses of cupboard storage. There is a luxurious downstairs shower room as well as an upstairs bathroom for those who prefer to soak after a long beach walk or a day spent browsing the local shops and dining out. Guest access The whole cottage and garden is for guests use only. Access to front door via key code. Other things to note There is extra car parking if required, free of charge. You can leave your car in the car park on the day of arrival, if you arrive early and want to take a stroll to the beach.
