Devonport Cottage is an early historic, Heritage New Zealand Category 2 listed labourers cottage built circa 1840s. It has been furnished with antiques and complementary furniture. There is a full kitchen including stove, microwave, bar fridge, dishwasher and espresso machine. With views of Mt Taranaki, we are in the countryside but just 6 minutes to New Plymouth's restaurants, shops and cafe’s. We are now welcoming long stays. With views of Mt Taranaki, in the countryside but close to downtown New Plymouth 6 minutes by car to restaurants, shops and cafe’s. A short drive to the seaside walkway, swimming, National Park and Mt Taranaki. Enjoy being close for WOMAD, Americana and Garden festivals. We are now welcoming long stays. Guest access You are most welcome to use the space and lawn around the cottage, the clothesline and deck. You have your own entrance and private parking area. The pool is shared access, we usually vacate so you have your privacy. The rest of the property is our private space, we are happy to show you around the orchard and meet the animals. Due to the goats having horns we don’t permit guests into the paddocks unaccompanied due to health & safety reasons. Other things to note To access the cottage, follow the shared driveway signposted with Devonport Cottage, 564A Mangorei Rd. Take the right fork which leads up to the cottage. Take the flight of steps up to the cottage path. The key is in a lock box at the back door. Long stays are welcome.
