Outdoors, there’s ping pong, pool, darts, pétanque, slackline, beach raquettes, and a volleyball court—all part of the Kactus island lifestyle. During your stay Together with the staff of Kactus Beach Resort, composed of local Khmer and volunteers from all around the world, we will take very good care of you helping with any need or just open for a friendly chat at the bar. Other things to note Kactus is located on a remote, off-grid island with no roads or built infrastructure—just nature, jungle trails, and raw coastline. It’s what makes the experience magical, but you’ll want to come prepared. Arrival may involve stepping into shallow water from the boat, so wear something you’re happy to get wet. Our team is always there to assist with luggage and help you settle in. You’ll be close to nature—geckos, ants, and insects are part of the environment. Each bed has a mosquito net, and we recommend using coconut oil to keep sand flies away (available on site). Bring a headlamp or torch for nighttime, and any essential medications. We have a basic first aid kit and our team is available if you need support. There’s mobile signal on the island with SMART SIM cards, so you can stay connected if needed—though we invite you to enjoy the digital detox.
