A tranquil setting nestled in the foothills of the Midi-Pyrénées, on the edge of the village with a supermarket (with fuel station and laundry facilities), boulangerie, boucherie, bar, pharmacie, post office and ATM. The town of Lavelanet with larger shops and facilities is just 10 minutes by car. Local attractions are the Château de Montsegur, Fontaine des Fontestorbes, Crapahut adventure park and the Voie Verte cycle path along the old railway line from Mirepoix to Lavelanet. The space We have converted part of our home to a self-contained first-floor apartment (50sqm total) with private entrance. There is a balcony, kitchenette, lounge and mezzanine bedroom, all newly renovated in 2021. No smoking in the apartment or out of the windows but smoking is permitted on the balcony and all garden areas. Sorry no pets or children. Please note that we live on-site with our two cats so the garden and outdoor areas are shared with us. You may see us tending the garden, cleaning the pool etc.so we are usually around to offer help if you need it or just chat if you wish too but we do respect your privacy and aim not to be intrusive and give you your personal space. We have a BBQ in the courtyard that you are welcome to use, and the pool is exclusively for you to enjoy as you would be our only guests. If you wish to see or feed our lovely three goats, just ask and we will take you to them just a three minute walk away. For your days out we can lend you cool boxes, parasols, folding chairs and more...just ask and we will try to make it work. Guest access Private off-road parking available free of charge. Other things to note The swimming lakes at Quillan and Montbel are 15 minutes away and Belcaire is 20 minutes. Please ask if you wish to use our paddleboards. Fishing is available locally (licence required) and we have a selection of tackle for you to borrow. The nearest restuarants are just 10 and 20 minutes walk from the apartment, with further good options within 15 minutes drive. The ski resorts of Camurac and Les Monts d'Olmes are 30 and 40 minutes drive respectively, the beaches at Perpignan and the tax free shopping in Andorra are 90 minutes away.
