Gîte in the heart of the Marais Poitevin,

In the heart of the Marais Poitevin, in a haven of calm and greenery, Christine and Claude will be happy to welcome you to their gîte at the "Bas des Vignes". It is an old renovated farm, on 3 hectares, with poplars, a pond, a swimming pool, many animals. The gîte is only rented by the week or fortnight. It is the starting point for many visits, hikes or bike rides. We will offer you free carriage rides in the Vizeron vineyard The space In our renovated farm we have set up a gîte for 4 people (rented weekly only) in the middle of the greenery, so that our visitors can find the calm to rest in peace. It is fully equipped, with a private terrace. Access to the swimming pool is free as well as the park where you can meet our animals, Quad the horse, Kalou the donkey, the sheep, the chickens etc... and you can walk around the pond Guest access The gîte is a totally independent studio/mezzanine. The beds are up on the mezzanine The shower room/WC is on the ground floor Access to the pool, park, pond is free. Other things to note We are located on the border of three departments: La Vendée, Les Deux-Sèvres and La Charente-Maritime. "Le Bas des Vignes" is the starting point for many activities and visits: the Green Venice, La Rochelle, Le Puy du Fou, the Atlantic beaches, the Mervent/Vouvant forest massif, etc. Hikers and cyclists can discover the Marais Poitevin thanks to many secure trails. Lovers of old stones will find their happiness in Maillezais with its abbey, in Nieul sur L'Autize and its cloister, through the small cities of character Vouvant, Foussais. The Marais Poitevin is rich in heritage, nature, and wildlife reserves.
