Opening out to tropical rice-paddy views from private balconies with Batukaru mountain, featuring a beautiful outdoor swimming pool and roof top that excellent for yoga practice. Friendly, helpful family and staff create a “home away from home” atmosphere. Afternoon time is a special treat here with prancing fireflies. The space We're in the rice fields of Sok Wayah amongst expansive, tranquil rice fields. There's no car access into our rice field, which makes the air so tranquil and clean. Yet in around 10 minutes along a level, coconut tree-lined walk you can be in the centre of Ubud. Our rice field walk is one of Ubud's key attractions. On our walk you'll find local warungs, cafes, spas, yoga shalas, local artists artists and woodcarvers scattered amongst the rice fields being tended by the farmers. ​ Plenty to see and do before you get to the main road. Guest access For walks into town, mostly guests enjoy the walk into town along the rice field where the local culture happens. It's a flat, level walk and line with coconut trees for shade. And at dusk the sunset is truly stunning. At other times you might prefer a scooter ride into town - just organise with our staff and for a small fee they will happily transport you to/from the main road. Alternatively, it's easy to take a scooter taxi from town. If you are an experienced rider you can hire your own scooter - we'll be happy to organise it for you. Transport From Denpasar Airport Ubud is around 1 hour 20 minutes by car from Bali's Denpasar airport. We offer an airport transfer service through a local driver at a modest additional cost.
