Description

Eastgate Hideaway is nestled in the very centre of Chester, less than 100 metres from the world famous Eastgate Clock. The property is Grade II listed and is located inside the Roman walls, on the historic Rows, so cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs, shopping and tourist attractions are all close by. Recently renovated and launched for the 2021 season, Eastgate Hideaway is the perfect location for both relaxing and accessing everything that Chester has to offer. The space The apartment has been recently refurbished and, whilst it has retained its charms as a historic building, it has all the modern conveniences you would expect. The open plan, high ceiling living area has a nice big comfy sofa and chair, coffee table and large flat screen smart TV. It has a cosy feeling which is great for relaxing after a hard day's shopping or sight-seeing and/or before enjoying a night out. The kitchen is well equipped including a washing machine, fridge (with freezer compartment), oven/hob, toaster and kettle. There is a small dining table, which seats two. The light and airy bedroom has a king size bed, wall-mounted TV, open wardrobe/shelves, access to the en-suite and a view of Chester Cathedral. The en-suite comprises WC, basin and shower. Other things to note How accessible is the apartment? The section of the Rows that gives access to Eastgate Hideaway is accessible without steps via Godstall Lane, which runs off St Werburgh Street (opposite the cathedral). The apartment itself is reached from Row level via a staircase and as it is within a listed building with limited space, unfortunately, there is no lift for access. Due to its age and original construction many centuries ago, the flooring is at a a bit of a ‘quirky’ angle from the top of the staircase to the entrance hall.
