Cozy, unique and stylish - this roughly describes the approx. 260 m² large and approx. 330-year-old vacation home Ickelhaus 3 in a few words. Up to 14 people can spend quiet and relaxing days in a rural setting - Steigerwald/Romantic Franconia. The days can be filled with cooking together, working, chilling in front of the fireplace, relaxing in the garden, cycling, hiking, city tours, wine tasting, wellness, museum tours, etc. The space This listed half-timbered vacation home is ideal for get-togethers with a larger group of friends or family, where the focus is on spending time together in a cozy atmosphere: cooking, chatting, walking & sports, wellness at the Franken Therme or Ickelheim Castle, and trips to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Bamberg, Würzburg, Nuremberg or Ansbach. The house is also well suited for smaller workshops. During the renovation, we placed a lot of emphasis on sustainability and natural products. For example, historic Solnhofen tiles, solid wood floorboards from the Steigerwald forest and sun-scorched boards from demolished buildings in the surrounding area were installed. The roof was also completely re-roofed with historic tiles. Underfloor heating was installed throughout the entire ground floor, except for the bedroom and living room. The building is heated with a wood chip heating system; the material comes from local farmers. The heart of the house is the kitchen-diner measuring approx. 50 sqm. The room has three large iron windows and two wooden windows overlooking the garden. Here you will find the custom-made dining table made of solid planks with 14 designer chairs, as well as a generously equipped kitchen with an island, microwave, filter coffee machine, espresso machine, Thermomix TM31, hand mixer and a basic set of spices. If you don't feel like cooking: The local butcher's shop also offers catering, and there are also numerous inns in the village and the surrounding area. The icing on the cake of the house is the infrared cabin on the ground floor, which is intended for 1-2 people. There is also a large garden that faces different compass points, so you can enjoy sun or shade depending on your preference and the time of day. Important note when traveling with small children: There are no stair gates or childproof socket covers in the house. Infants (0-3 years) in our cribs cost EUR 10.00 per night – the amount is to be paid in cash on the day of arrival! From the 7th night onward, we offer a 10% discount on the total price, plus the final cleaning fee. For single occupancy, a 20% surcharge will be charged and paid in cash on the day of arrival. Please note that the number of guests is limited to a maximum of 14 people plus 3 toddlers. Pets are generally not allowed. Bedroom details and other technical information: Ground floor: 1 bedroom with double bed, 2 x 90/200 cm mattresses. Upstairs: 1 bedroom with double bed, 2 x 90/200 cm mattresses 2 double bedrooms, each with a 160/200 cm mattress 1 bedroom with a double bed with a 140/200 cm mattress (this is actually a room for 2 children or one adult) Attic floor: 2 double bedrooms with 2 x 90/200 cm mattresses. Bathrooms: Ground floor: Large bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and infrared cabin, as well as a small bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet. Upper floor: Guest toilet and 2 bathrooms with toilet and walk-in showers Top floor: Bathroom with toilet and walk-in shower All bathrooms have natural light and are equipped with a hairdryer. A washing machine and an extra fridge are in the utility room. Media & TV: WiFi is available in the house. The living room has a TV with a satellite dish. Unfortunately, the house is not accessible due to the many stairs. Extras: - 3 cots and 1 high chair available - Two bottles of Bad Windsheim mineral water in the apartment upon arrival - Free use of the washing machine - Shampoo and shower gel in the shower - No spa tax in Ickelheim - Late check-out available for an additional fee - Wellness massages at extra cost and by appointment at Ickelheim Castle - Bicycles can be put under cover Special events: The house can also be booked for conferences, workshops, retreats, etc. Offer on request. Note about the neighborhood: Directly opposite is another holiday home – Ickelhaus 1 for 10 people, and only about 70 meters further on is the holiday home Ickelhaus 2 with 2 more apartments (max. 5 and max. 4 people). Guest access The entire house with the fenced garden. Other things to note The house is not suitable for fitters. Please note that pets of any kind are generally not allowed.
