Cozy, unique and stylish - this roughly describes the approx. 260 m² large and approx. 330-year-old vacation home Ickelhaus 3 in a few words. Up to 14 people can spend quiet and relaxing days in a rural setting - Steigerwald/Romantic Franconia. The days can be filled with cooking together, working, chilling in front of the fireplace, relaxing in the garden, cycling, hiking, city tours, wine tasting, wellness, museum tours, etc. The space The listed half-timbered vacation home is ideal for meetings in a larger circle of friends or family, where the focus is on cozy get-togethers: cooking, chatting, walking & sports, wellness in the Franconian thermal baths or in Ickelheim Castle, excursions to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Bamberg, Würzburg, Nuremberg or Ansbach. The house is also well suited for smaller workshops. During the renovation, we placed great emphasis on sustainability and natural products. For example, historic Solnhofen slabs, planks made of solid wood from the Steigerwald and sunburnt boards from demolitions in the area were installed. The roof was also completely covered with historic tiles. Underfloor heating was installed on the entire first floor, with the exception of the bedroom and living room. The building is heated with a wood chip heating system; the material comes from local farmers. The heart of the house is the approx. 50 sqm kitchen with dining room. The room has three large iron windows and two wooden windows overlooking the garden. Here is the self-made dining table made of solid planks with 14 designer chairs as well as a generously equipped kitchen with a cooking island, microwave, filter coffee machine, espresso machine, Thermomix TM31, hand mixer and a basic set of spices. If you don't feel like cooking: the local butcher also offers catering, and there are numerous inns in the village and in the surrounding area. The icing on the cake of the house is the infrared cabin on the first floor, which is intended for 1-2 people. There is also a large garden that is oriented in different directions, so you can enjoy sun or shade as desired and at any time of day. Important note when traveling with small children: There are no staircase and child outlet covers in the house. Infants (0-3 years) in our cribs cost EUR 10.00 per night - the amount is paid in cash on the day of arrival! From the 7th night, we give a 10% discount on the total price plus final cleaning. For single room occupancy, a surcharge of 20% will be charged and will be paid in cash on the day of arrival. Please note that the number of guests is limited to a maximum of 14 people plus 3 toddlers. Pets are generally not allowed. Details of the bedrooms and other technical information: Ground floor: 1 double bedroom with 2 x 90/200 cm mattresses. Upper floor: 1 double bedroom 2 x 90/200 cm mattresses 2 double bedrooms, each with 160/200 cm mattress 1 bedroom double bed 140/200 cm mattress (here actually room for 2 children or an adult person) Top floor: 2 double bedrooms with 2 x 90/200 cm mattresses. Bathrooms: First floor: Large bathroom with walk-in shower and infrared cabin as well as a small bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet. Upper floor: Guest toilet and 2 bathrooms with toilet and walk-in showers Attic: bathroom with toilet and walk-in shower All bathrooms are daylight bathrooms and are equipped with a hairdryer. A washing machine and an additional fridge are in the utility room. Media & TV: Wi-Fi is available in the house. The living room has a TV with satellite dish. Due to the many stairs, the house is unfortunately not barrier-free. Extras: - 3 cots and 1 high chair available - Two bottles of Bad Windsheim mineral water on arrival in the apartment - Free use of the washing machine - Shampoo and shower gel in the shower - No spa fee payment in Ickelheim - Late check-out possible for an extra fee - Wellness massages at extra cost and by appointment in Schloss Ickelheim - Bicycles can be put under the roof Special events: The house can also be booked for conferences, workshops, retreats, etc. Offer on request. Note on the neighborhood: Right across the street is another vacation home - the Ickelhaus 1 for 10 people and only about 70 meters further the Ickelhaus 2 vacation home with another 2 apartments (max. 5 and max. 4 people). Guest access The entire house with the fenced garden. Other things to note The house is not suitable for fitters. Please note that pets of any kind are generally not allowed.
