The apartment consists of two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two very large and comfortable single beds (double 180x210, single bed 90x210). The kitchen comfortably accommodates 4 people at the table. The bathroom with shower is exclusive. Bed linen and towels are provided and included in the price. Final cleaning included in the price. Guest access The apartment is located in the historic center of Volterra, 100 meters from Piazza dei Priori and is part of Palazzo Pagnini The Palazzo, dating back to the 1500s, was owned by the Pagnini family, owner of the coat of arms placed on the facade, and like other Volterra buildings of the time, is characterized by a raised brick elevation placed above a stone ground floor, belonging to a pre-existing Tower House from the 1200s. The Pagnini family was a historic family that arrived in Volterra in the 1300s with Pagnino di Lapo, admitted to the patriciate of Volterra and that of Florence. In 1831, Ottaviano Ricciarelli bought the Palazzo. The Ricciarelli family is another important Volterra patrician family, who settled in the city around 1428. The most famous member of the family was Daniele Ricciarelli, a pupil of Michelangelo, known as Da Volterra or the Volterrano, better known as the Braghettone for having covered the nudes of Michelangelo's Last Judgment placed in the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican in Rome.
