Ellis Lake Resort - Redbud Lodge - Interlochen/Traverse City

Step into the solitude of a charming modern log home with subtle views of Ellis Lake and its natural surroundings. We are a short 15 minute drive from Traverse City, 30 minute drive to magnificent Lake Michigan, the Sleeping Bear Dunes and the abundant wineries and fruit orchards our area offers, and we are 1 mile from Interlochen, known for the prestigious Interlochen Center for the Arts. The Redbud Lodge has a beautiful log interior with plenty of natural light throughout. It is nestled in a quiet wooded landscape surrounded by an abundance of pines and hardwoods. There is a large grassy area open for picnics and campfire gatherings. Enjoy an early morning coffee or late evening glass of wine out on the open deck with a subtle view of Ellis Lake. Inside the screened in porch you will find a dining table for 4, love seat, and your very own hot tub for 3-4. The Redbud Lodge has a gas and charcoal grill, picnic table, outdoor table and chairs on the open deck, There are bundles of wood for $5.00 available at the office for your campfires. Guests will have access to Ellis Lake where you will have the use of row boats, canoes, and paddle boats to enjoy leisure time, fishing, turtle and bird watching or stop at the swim raft and take a dip. There is a large deck at the waterfront to watch the sunset, a grill to cook a meal and a fire pit for the stargazers. There are hiking trails, a play ground for the kids, horseshoes for fun and an outdoor hot tub under the pines.
