Description

The Belltown Gem is a 1-bed/1-bath condo centrally located in the Belltown neighborhood of downtown Seattle. It has a full kitchen, dining nook, queen bed, sleeper sofa, gigabit internet, and W/D in unit. The rooftop deck has spectacular views. You can watch the monorail from the balcony, too! 1st and 2nd Ave host several bars and restaurants. The Space Needle is a 6-min walk, and Pike Place, Olympic Sculpture Garden, and Seattle Art Museum are within 1 mile. 1 parking spot included. Come stay! The space The Belltown Gem is a ~500 sq. ft. 1-bed/1-bath condominium on the 5th floor. It has everything you need for your stay, however long or short. We provide linens, towels, soap, and shampoo. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, and cookware. It has a range, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and 10 cu. ft. refrigerator. The in-unit washer and dryer are stacked units in one of the closets. One of the most unique features of our condo is that the balcony overlooks the Seattle Center Monorail. You can see the monorail through the windows when it passes by. Surprisingly, the monorail is very quiet - you'll only hear a brief "whoosh!" A large tree by the balcony also provides privacy and shade so monorail riders can't really see you, even though you can see the train. Watching it pass by is truly magical! The condo building is maintained in excellent condition. For security, the front door requires a key code to enter. There are two elevators in the lobby, and there are stairwells along the sides of the building. The rooftop has a large deck with spectacular views of the Space Needle and downtown Seattle. It also has two gas grills, picnic tables, and lounge chairs that you are welcome to use. The lobby also has a small exercise room. Our condo is conveniently located right next to one of the stairwells that goes directly up to the roof and directly down to the street. Like most condos in downtown Seattle, our condo is small. It is most ideal for 1-2 people, but it can host up to 4 people. We have a queen-sized bed with a green tea gel-infused memory foam mattress in the bedroom and a sectional couch that folds out into a full-sized bed in the living room. We welcome groups up to 4 people, but please note that the space might feel tight at max capacity. Also, like most other homes in Seattle, our condo does not have air conditioning. The lack of AC might surprise you at first, but you will find that you don't really need it. Seattle's hottest summertime temperatures are in the 70s (F). 80F is a very hot day in Seattle. If you feel warm in the apartment, open the windows or balcony door and run the fan - that will cool things off quickly. Since our condo is downtown, you will hear general city noise: whooshing as cars drive by, squeaking when buses brake, and general hums about the neighborhood. However, the condo is actually very quiet inside. The soundproofing between units within the building is solid, too. You shouldn't hear the neighbors at all. Sometimes, our cleaners need to leave a load of linens or towels in the dryer. The washing machines are small, and the cleaners have many places to clean. If this happens, please make sure it is dry, and feel free to leave it in the dryer. If you need to move the dryer, please move the laundry to the bedroom closet. Absolutely no pets are allowed in our condo. We do not make any exceptions. Guest access Belltown is one of Seattle's most vibrant neighborhoods. It is a safe, walkable area with many bars, restaurants, and businesses. Being centrally located, it also has easy access to several lines of public transportation. All entry doors to the condo building are locked at all times. Please review check-in instructions before your arrival to learn how to access the condo. We provide one parking spot in the building's attached garage for guests. The garage is tight. It can fit passenger vehicles but not cargo vans, large trucks, trailers, or other large vehicles. When you arrive, you will need to park temporarily on the street in order to check in and obtain the garage opener. Please read the (physical) guest book inside the condo for full parking instructions. Other things to note Jessica speaks Mandarin (中文). Our condo has a guest book containing all the info you need: our story, getting around Seattle, house and building rules, and checkout procedures. Registration Details STR-OPLI-21-000845
