One of the oldest properties in Hawes. A romantic hideaway, full of character and history . This cottage has never left the Metcalfe family . Letting is a minimum of 2 nights . Situated in stunning Upper Wensleydale surroundings. See the sheep graze from your door and in the month of May watch the farmers making hay. Footpaths to the fells start literally from the front door for all keen walkers. You can take in this magnificent landscape whatever the weather. The space Set in a field on our farm and only 6 minute walk into Hawes .Cottontail cottage is in a lovely picturesque setting .With a log burning stove and a big basket of logs . Looking out over the fells this is a favourite of all our cottages . The cottage is 16 Century and is rich in the Metcalfe history and still owned by our family. It has 2 king size bedrooms and 1 house bathroom . It is booked as the whole house. We do extra cleaning and antibacterial as much space as we can during Covid 19 We have fishing over the road on our river fronted fields at Ashes . Please ask . Lake Semmerwater is 4 miles away . The 3 peaks is very popular and we have plenty of fells to walk up to . Hardraw force one of the tallest waterfalls in Britain and is a lovely walk . With a great atmospheric old pub to call in for a drink . Lots of footpaths straight from the front door . Cottontail is very popular and once visited you will probably want to book again .
