Description

This is a lovely two bedroom apartment in a fourplex with its own private deck overlooking a grove of lush trees. Vaulted ceilings, well insulated from sound and temperature, close to major bus lines, and a five minute drive to PSU, OHSU and downtown. The apartment is close to the South Waterfront, several parks, and nearby shopping centers and restaurants. It is practically downtown, yet situated on a quiet street with no outlet. Bring your bike and store it safely on your private deck. The space This spacious, cozy home away from home is completely furnished with very comfortable beds, including a sleeper sofa. There are lovely vaulted ceilings and the kitchen has just about everything you'd need to cook all your meals. The surroundings are park like, with trees providing shade in the summer. In winter, when leaves are off the trees, there's a view through to the Willamette River. Comfortable outdoor chairs on the deck invite you to sip your morning coffee or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. There is a reserved off-street parking spot right near the front door. Living room: Tons of natural light. Sleeper sofa (full bed). Vaulted ceilings. Smart TV. 2 sofa chairs. Coffee table. Access to private balcony with outdoor chairs and coffee table. Kitchen: Light-filled breakfast nook with a table that seats 6. 4 burner stove and oven. Sink with garbage disposal. Fully stocked kitchen with dishes, cookware, silverware, some tupperware, spices, oil, and coffee. Washer and dryer. Full sized fridge. Bathroom: Tile shower with bathtub. Cabinet with some extra storage. Bedrooms: Queen sized beds, closets with dressers, extra bedding. Guest access The entire apartment is yours! The balcony is private, but you can see others on their own balconies. Other things to note I have learned over time that every Airbnb is different and every guest's expectations are different. It is my goal to make sure that I am as transparent as possible up front so that you can make the best choice for yourself on where you would like to stay. PET POLICY: All pets must be approved in advance. You must confirm that the animal has no history of property destruction, indoor urination/defecation, aggression, or excessive noise. In order to maintain an allergen-low environment for other guests, I have the cleaners do deep cleans after every animal stays there and hire a carpet / upholstery cleaner if necessary. Any undisclosed pet will result in a large penalty. FEES: Dogs and cats: $200. This fee does not cover any damages caused by the pet that result in excessive cleaning or repairs ESAs / Service animals: If you have an ESA animal please send me a copy of the paperwork including the letter from your healthcare provider. If you have a service animal trained to help you with a disability, I will be asking you the following legally allowable questions: 1) Is the service animal required because of a disability? 2) What work or task has the animal been trained to perform? (Your disability does not need to be disclosed) NOISE: No excessive / sustained noise allowed. No parties. No yelling. Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am. This building is well insulated, but you do have neighbors under you and beside you. You will likely hear muffled voices, music, occasional dog barks, and people coming and going from the building in the shared stairwell. You may also see other tenants on their (separate) balconies. Also, with the doors and windows closed, you will not hear the highway. However, when you open the doors, you will hear the far-off sound of highway noise -- not individual cars or trucks (more like the ocean ;-) ) NO SMOKING: No smoking anywhere on the property, not even the balcony. Smoke travels to other tenants' apartments. CLEANING: Sometimes a cleaner does a poor job and it catches me (and you!) off guard. Please let me know right away if the cleaner missed something(s) important and allow me to fix the issue. I assure you that I strongly value cleanliness and any lack of cleanliness is not on purpose. I do want to advise that this building was built in the 1970s. It's not a luxury rental -- just a cozy, clean, lived in space. AC: The building is very well insulated and mostly stays cool in the trees. However, I do come and install a portable AC unit or window unit for the living room area when it starts getting hot. I try to install preemptively, but sometimes the weather changes suddenly. Please contact me if it's getting too warm in the apartment and I will come install the unit.
