Twin room

Samostan (which means “monastery”) is located in the village of Mekinje, adjacent to Kamnik and a five-minute walk from the town center. First established in the 13th century, it was for hundreds of years the seat of nuns. The monastery complex is enormous and rich in history, including a huge walled-in, gated courtyard, gardens, a chapel, an inner cloister, and much more. It is home to regular cultural events, but also has rooms for rent that are ideal as a base for visiting all of Slovenia.
