Villa Askedra is a waterfront property located on the mainland, directly across from Poros Island. It offers old-world charm with a commanding view of the harbor and Poros. The home provides complete privacy and is sheltered by trees. The quiet environment is only a five minute walk to town and a two minute boat ride to Poros for shopping, beaches, restaurants, and nightlife. The space The property is privately situated on 7 acres of hillside. Enjoy the panoramic view from the slopes above the house. There are two large porch areas to relax and dine, both east and west to enjoy the sunrise and sunsets (the West Porch area is sheltered from the sun by an awning). The most relaxing place is the swing from where you can enjoy watching the activity in the harbor between Poros and Galatas, or the sunset over the "Sleeping Woman" mountain range; or take a nap in the hammock listening to the cicadas. The buildings are well shaded in a grove of pine trees. There is a small orchard of lemon trees, with olives dominating the hillside and a few almond trees. Check the orchard for fresh lemons, or walk up the hill to see if the almonds are ripe. Guest access Entire 7 acre property is available to guests. Other things to note In addition to the main gate there is also a walking path down the back of the property directly into town. Make an early morning trip down for some fresh baked bread and enjoy watching the morning glories open and smell the jasmine. The main house has space for 4 guests, and the guest house also houses 4 (a lower portion of a bedroom and attached bath, and an upper portion with a small flight of steps leads to a small patio and a larger bedroom with attached bath).
